XCM (Cross country marathon) races are approximately four hours long and can be completed Solo, or as a Duo (team of two, relay style). This allows for riders of all skills and abilities to get involved and challenge themselves accordingly!

This XCM event will be part of the Zero Friction Cycling overall series championship, so make sure to put your best foot forward!


COVID-19 Notice

We are taking COVID-19 restrictions seriously.
By entering this event, you agree to the following:

  • You have not been instructed to self isolate, and you have not been a close contact of someone who has, or yourself returned from overseas travel within the past 14 days
  • You currently have no "flu like" symptoms.
  • You are fit and well to enter the cycling event.
  • You will follow all new safety guidelines and directions of the club while attending the event, and
  • You will not share any equipment.

Self seeded, ability based categories for XCM racing.

Solo Senior (4hr)

  • Male: A,B,C,D grade
  • Female: A,B,C grade

    Duo Senior (4hr)

  • Duo Male
  • Duo Female
  • Duo Mixed

    Solo Juniors

  • U19 M/F 4hr
  • U17 M/F 2hr
  • U15 M/F 2hr

    Junior Duo

  • U19 (includes U17 and U15 riders) - 4hr (no gender, any pairs)
  • U13 - 2hr Duo only (no gender, any pairs) (modified course)

    Scratching Need to withdrawal from the event? EntryBoss enables a self-serve refund if things change and you can't make the event. Please use the 'Scratch' button to trigger a refund and automatically remove yourself from the startlist, (Please note the scratching cut-off as the button is not available after this) .

    On the day You will receive a race plate and transponder. The race plate attaches to your handlebars and the transponder is to be secured to your fork leg. Cable ties are provided, although it is your responsibility to ensure that these are visible and correctly mounted. You must return these after your race, or you will be asked to replace them!

    Courses are approximately 10km long and about 35 minutes for elite riders. Times may vary significantly due to track conditions. We have supplied some proposed loops however we cannot guarantee that these will be the loop used on race day, due to the demands of the park managers.


    PARKING

    Entry for this event will be from Craigburn Road. Parking will be directed on race day!

    LICENSING/MEMBERSHIP

    Note a current AusCycling All-Discipline or Off-Road license is required to ride these events (or a Cycling Australia / MTBA equivalent), primarily for insurance purposes. Bring your license card / digital membership with you to sign-on! If this is your first try at racing you can get a FREE 4 week trial membership (https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial ) (only for people who have not held a CA or MTBA membership in the last 3 years). To be a member of Adelaide MTB Club, head to https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership to pick the license that is right for you and choose Adelaide MTB Club to join our club! It’ll cost $25 to be a member!


    WOMEN'S PARTICIPATION

    Women are encouraged to use the code WOMEN5 to receive entry for just $5.

    We can see who uses the code, so anyone that isn't woman will be and uses the code will be denied entry into the event until they pay the full amount.
