Dear Junior Rider and Parent,
We’re pleased to advise that as part of the transition to AusCycling, we have identified efficiencies for the Broadford Junior Tour which we can pass on to you. The great news is that we have decided to do this effective immediately.
Entry Fee: Based on lower than expected costs for the venue hire the entry fee will be reduced to $70 for J15/17 riders and $50 for J13/11 riders. The entry fee for the Victorian Criterium Championships will remain unchanged. Refunds will be processed automatically by Entryboss over the next week.
If you haven’t yet been able to enter until this point we have extended entries until midnight on Thursday 20 May.
Schedule and Format: We are also pleased to now offer 4 stages to the Tour in a format that will reduce waiting time at the venue.
Riders who only want to compete in the State Criterium Championships can do so by entering the Criterium only. The Championships are open to interstate riders, however only Victorian club members will be eligible for State Championships medals.
All participants are required to hold a valid AusCycling Race All Discipline membership
Please note temporary/trial memberships cannot be accepted as they cover riders for club events only.
Junior GP: JB11, JW11, JB13, JW13, JW15, JM15 A+B, JW17, JM17 A+B
Criterium Champs: JB11, JG11, JB13, JG13, JM15, JW15, JM17, JW17
Please select one or the other in the entry form. Entry to the Junior Tour includes the Criterium Champs. If you select both by mistake we'll assume entry in the Junior Tour (you will not be charged extra).
Refunds will apply and be processed via EntryBoss.
J11-13: $90 (includes venue hire fee)

Scratching/refunds Riders wishing to scratch and get a refund from the event can do by logging into their Entryboss account using the scratch button. A medical certificate within 7 days of the event will be required for refunds after entries have closed.
A refund may be granted for other reasons at the discretion of AusCycling.
Late entries may be accepted on a case by case and will incur a late entry fee of up to 25% of the standard entry fees.
IMPORTANT: After a successful entry the rider will automatically be given the status provisionally entered. This is normal and means the entry has officially been registered. The status won’t change until grading and membership have been confirmed by an AusCycling staff member.
The status ‘doubtful’ or ‘waitlisted’ generally means the event category has reached it’s capacity and a rider has been moved to a waitlist.

Format: The event will be conducted in an Omnium format where riders receive points for each stage (not time general classification). The standings will be determined by adding points received on each stage using the following points scale.

Riders need to start and complete each stage to continue in the event. An exemption may be made at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire in case of mechanical mishaps or crashes. Riders who are allowed back in the race for the following stage(s) will no longer be contesting the General Classification but remain eligible for stage wins and stage series points.
IMPORTANT NOTES: - Due to time constraints, races may be shortened. - Lapped riders will finish on the same lap as the leader of their group (e.g. leader of JW15A and JW15B finishes, every other rider of these grades finish on that same lap)
