We are the Main club for the Cairns Region, host races in the Smtihfield MTB park and our volunteer base of club members maintain the trails

Scratching:
Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.


Race Schedule-

Event Location start/finish– Event staging area Bottom of Nationals Old Club site. Shuttle Road Access will be only for specified club vehicles and shuttles.

PARKING : Please park on the grassed area via JCU or there is limited parking along ring road - please ensure emergency access and vehicle access clear at all times.

Plate collection 8:00 - 8:30am

Shuttle Practice from 8:30am (shuttle practice will be aiming for minimum of 2 runs (MAX 4 unless time allows)

Rider Briefing: 12:30pm - with lunch break

Racing From 1:00pm (Note - there will be no seeding run)

Race format - There will be total of 2 eligible race runs - (fastest time recorded as your race time)

** Extra Open Podium fastest overall aggregate time for the 2 runs for the day) **

Information

Mandatory Equipment All riders are required to have to following gear to race:

ALL RIDERS Elbows Covered (full sleeve to wrist)

Full Face DH approved helmet (no detatchable chin bar)

Long Pants covering the knee and shin and/or Knee Pads

For all riders who are eligible to compete in U13, U15 and U17 categories, the following equipment is mandatory at all times while on track regardless of registered category: • Full-finger gloves must be worn; • Full length jersey – jersey must cover elbows at all times; • Knee pads and elbow pads must be worn.

*Extra gear is optional but recommended

Make sure you have spares, water, food and are self sufficient U18 Participants must have an Adult Guardian in attendance, and must give their mobile contact and email to registration desk upon registration. - We'd LOVE you to be a Marshal on track to help with running this event. Without adequate numbers to help we cannot go ahead with the race. If you can't walk up the hill - you can man the shuttle road or bbq.

Event Cancellations

Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled. We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding. More Info Need to talk to someone?
