2025 Gravity Girls Race Series

About the Race Series

The 2025 Gravity Girls Race Series is a four part women’s race series aimed at introducing women to racing in a supportive environment and fostering an interest and understanding of racing so that they can enter the current racing pathway with confidence and knowledge.

There are competitive entry categories for those who want to challenge themselves and enjoy the opportunity to race against the clock.

There are also non-competitive categories for those who want to experience the event and ride on closed trails in a structed environment without the pressure of competition.

The races are open to all females 10 years and above who have a current AusCycling All-Discipline or Off-Road race license.

Race 1 - Dual Slalom - Friday 21st February, 2025

Eagle Mountain Bike Park

About Dual Slalom

Dual Slalom is a ski-inspired event, where two riders race against each other on two identical tracks side-by-side, with the same jumps and berms, with a rider on each track. The tracks are fairly short, downhill tracks of moderate difficulty. After the first run, the riders swap tracks and complete a second run. Both runs are timed, and the rider with the fastest combined time wins the heat.

The contest is a knockout format, with a series of heats, until there are only 2 riders left that compete in the final.

Rules

The rules are here to keep everyone safe and ensure good sportsmanship. Whether you’re a competitive racer or just racing for fun, the same rules apply. Not respecting the rules will result in a time penalty, disqualification or potential ban from racing.

Competitors must show respect for all other competitors, officials and volunteers.

There will be no cutting of the course and competitors must stay within their own lane.

Location and Course

The Dual Slalom will be raced at Eagle Mountain Bike Park. Parking will be within the park itself, within the old quarry, accessible by car via Mount Barker Road.
