Start Location & Time:
In place of the CRAVEMTB CHALLENGE - Happy Willmore Adventures will be hosting a Southwest Epic Ride at Wellington Dam National Park / Ferguson Valley on Sunday 6th October leaving NOW from the Honeymoon Pool Campground, allowing us to explore the amazing 30km of new trails either side of Honeymoon Pool.
START TIME IS 9AM
The rides will give you the opportunity to checkout some of the most scenic, spectacular and fun trails the state has to offer, with 30km of new trail just opened this month, all within a pristine National Park. You will also be able to ride in a group to suit your speed and be able to share the experience.
There are 15km, 30km and 50km options with riders broken up into 3-4 groups of 10-20 riders according to Speed so you don’t have to wait to long or feel like your holding everyone up. 😜👍. Please register for the ride early as numbers will be limited to 40 riders maximum.
In the words of one of WA’s most prolific course designers- Tony Tucknott - “The Wellington Dam and Honeymoon Pool Trails are spectacular and world class. …… riding in the area is also something special. But more than that, the riding in the area is just so much fun and proper mountain biking at its best.”
THIS YEAR we will incorporate 5 optional enduro/ cross timed stages of 500m- 2km in length. We will simply use Strava for the timing and indicate the start and finish of each stage using markers. If you don’t care you just ride on through.

Distances will be 15, 30 & 50km catering for beginners to the more advanced riders. The trails are rated mainly blue and green with the odd black line option. We will be following partsof the course of the upcoming Dwellingup 100 and Masters games MTB marathon events in September and October..
Riders will be set off in 3-4 different groups depending on their expected average speed so riders can comfortably ride with a group matching their speed level. The groups will be set with an average speed of 8-11kmph, 12-15kmph and 16-19kmph. With a ride leader designated to each group and regular catchup spots to ensure everyone stays together and on track!
****3-4 different speed groups will set off all following the same initial course with the 15km riders doing a 15km loop to Potters Gorge returning back to the start on the new Danjooh trail.
After that those doing 30& 50km will go onto the otherside of the River up the Honeymoon is Over and Watcher trails.the 30km group will turn back after 8km flying down the G.O.A.T. and Cash out trails.
The people doing the 50 km loop will continue down the local favorite Grizzly and Boylans trails before hooting back to Honeymoon pool via the G.O.A.T. and Cash out trails.
If you would like to help out with leading a group and are particularly familiar with the trails in the area please make yourself known on the day, it would be much appreciated.
