Event Summary

XCO, Kirrikee Friday 16th June, 2pm

This is a Highlands Trails club race but it also doubles as Round 1 of the NSW/ACT State Series. For details of the rest of the NSW/ACT State Series, which has races at Tamworth, Canberra and Nowra, please see the calendar on the AusCycling website under Mountain Biking.

Please note all entry is online - ENTRY CUTOFF is at 9:00pm on Friday 14th June.

• This is a traditional cross country race on a loop of around 4.2km.
• Lap numbers will vary from 5 or 6 laps down to 1 lap, depending on category. TBC closer to the event.
• U9s and U11s will ride a modified course using the lower half of the main course, which avoids the main climb and is around 1.7km. There is no lower age limit. Please note that U9 and U11 are not officially part of the series and will not earn series points. Each club may offer extra categories at their own discretion. All other categories are being offered by all four clubs hosting the series.

Course Practice will be available on the day of racing, Sunday 16th June, 8:00-10:00am.

12:30 All Women's categories U15 and older
2:00 Open men, Expert men, U19 men, Masters 1/2/3/4 men, E-bike

Riders will be called to the start line 10 minutes before their scheduled event for a compulsory race briefing.

Pricing

• Juniors (to U17): $30
  
• Seniors (U19+): $45
  Note: Highlands Trails members receive a $5 discount.

Riders will all receive free quality action photos courtesy of @shanmtb and fully funded by Dennis Garbutt, of Highlands Trails. Medals will be awarded to place getters.

About Highlands Trails

Highlands Trails recently took over the responsibility of running all mountain bike events in the Southern Highlands. Previously Southern Highlands Cycling Club organised events in road, track and MTB, but they now specialise in only road and track. Highlands Trails has cared for the trails of Wingello for many years and has now taken on the custodianship of looking after all mountain bike trails in the Southern Highlands.
