Event Overview

The main event of the Tathra MTB festival, the Tarra Motors 5 hour. Come and enjoy the best trails at Tathra for this lap based XC race. Attack it solo if 5 hours on your bike is your idea of fun or with friends as a relay race. The event hub with food trucks and facilities will be located the Tathra Country Club. The lap is going to be a punchy short loop, all bang for your buck!

• Trail location: Bundadung trail network Tathra.
• Licences: Auscycling licences required, day race licences permitted

• Format: mass start, solo or team relay 5 hour race. All laps must be started before the 5 hour mark.

• Course description: approx. 9km loop taking in Kingy’s climb, Anchors Away and our new trail Jane’s Addiction.
• Categories:
• Solo (Men, Women, Single Speed and E-bike) We will use Auscycling age categories, based on entries will we combine categories with less than 5 riders.
• Pairs (Male, Female, Mixed, Single Speed and E-bike). Pairs riding the race relay style. Single speed needs both riders to be on single speed bikes. E-bike pairs should be used if EITHER rider is on an E-Bike.

• Teams (Male, Female, Mixed, Single Speed, E-Bike). Teams of 4 riding the race relay style. Teams of 3 can join but you will be riding against teams of 4. Mixed is any combination of men and women. Single speed needs all riders to be on single speed bikes. E-bike teams if ANY rider in the team is on an E-Bike.

• Price (via entryboss):

• Solo: Adults $90 under 18 $50.

• Pairs: Adults (19 and over) $70 each, Juniors (under 19) $40 each. (Adults and Juniors can pair up)

• Teams: Adults (19 and over) $50 each, Juniors (under 19) $30 each. (Adults and Juniors can team up)

• Late Entries (+$10 per rider late fee)

• Limited numbers of on the day Late entries available - best to register by Fri 9th June !!! On the day entries will be CASH (real money) only at the Country Club on Sat 10th 11:30-3:30. You will need to bring proof of appropriate Auscycling membership https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership. The club reserves the right to NOT offer on the day entries without notice.

• Refunds: Scratching (full refund) up to Tue 6th June at midnight 2023. After that no refund. If the event is cancelled due to weather refunds will be provided.

Auscycling Licensing Required - 4 week trial, event licence, off road race or race all discipline (lifestyle NOT suitable).
