Start Location & Time:
The FVMTBC will be hosting the Southwest Epic Ride #1-2002 in Collie on Good Friday 15th leaving from the Harris River Estate 7km from the Center of Collie at 8am. Enter via the bottom gate off a dirt road at the Northern End of the Estate from 7 onwards. There will be plenty of food, drinks wine and beer available after the ride from the Estates restaurant.
There are 18km, 32km and 52km options with riders broken up into 3-4 groups of 6-12 riders according to Speed so you don’t have to wait to long or feel like your holding everyone up. 😜👍.
THIS YEAR we will incorporate 5 optional enduro/ cross timed stages of 500m- 2km in length. We will simply use Strava for the timing and indicate the start and finish of each stage using markers. If you don’t care you just ride on through.

We have distances and speeds to cater to everyone. Please let us know your preferred group when entering. This helps us organise Ride Leaders for each group.
Distances will be 15, 30 & 50km catering for beginners to the more advanced riders. The trails are rated mainly blue and green with the odd black line option. We will be following partsof the course of the upcoming Dwellingup 100 and Masters games MTB marathon events in September and October..
Riders will be set off in 3-4 different groups depending on their expected average speed so riders can comfortably ride with a group matching their speed level. The groups will be set with an average speed of 8-11kmph, 12-15kmph and 16-19kmph. With a ride leader designated to each group and regular catchup spots to ensure everyone stays together and on track!
If you would like to help out with leading a group and are particularly familiar with the trails in the area please make yourself known on the day, it would be much appreciated.
