Eligible Age Categories and Membership Requirements

J11, J13, Para-cycling, Masters 1-10.

Riders must hold a valid AusCycling Race All Discipline membership

Trial/temporary memberships cannot be accepted as they cover riders for club level events only.


Race Categories

JG11, JB11, JG13, JB13, Women and Men Masters 1-10, Para-cycling (Men and Women C1-5, WB, MB, AWII)

Please note that categories may be combined on the day depending on the number of participants (separate results).


Entry Fees

  • J11/J13: $15 per event (+ credit card fees)

  • Para-cycling: $20 per event / $50 for all 3 events (+ credit card fees)

  • Masters: $25 per event / $80 for all 4 events (+ credit card fees)

Entries will close at midnight on Tuesday, 8 February 2022

Late entries may be approved at the discretion of AusCycling (a late entry fee of $10 per event may be charged).

Refunds: Riders can scratch and receive a refund by logging into their Entryboss account using the Scratch button before entries close. No refunds under any circumstance will be granted after entries close.

IMPORTANT: After a successful entry the rider will automatically be given the status provisionally entered. This is normal and means the entry has officially been registered. The status won’t change until grading and membership have been confirmed by an AusCycling staff member.

The status ‘doubtful’ or ‘waitlisted’ generally means the event category has reached it’s capacity and a rider has been moved to a waitlist.

Registration

Opens 60min before the official race start and will be located at the registration desk in the infield.

For mass start events riders will be handed two bib numbers which must be worn as follows: one on the left hip/back with number facing up when in horizontal race position. the second number is to be placed centrally at the bottom on the back. Both numbers must be clearly identifiable in race position to assist officials and other riders.

For timed-events riders may use one number only (central and bottom of back).

Riders competing on both days will be wearing the same numbers.

Please do not forget to return your numbers after the race!

Race Program

Saturday (from 10am):

  • Sprint Qualifying Flying 200m (Masters)
  • Individual Pursuit Qualifying (Para-cycling, Masters)
  • Sprint Heats (Masters)
  • Individual Pursuit Finals (Para-cycling, Masters)
  • Sprint Finals (Masters)

Sunday (from 10am):

  • Flying 200m (J11, J13, Para-cycling)
  • Time Trial Qualifying (Para-cycling, Masters)
  • Time Trial Finals (J11, J13, Para-cycling, Masters)
  • Points Race (Masters)

The track is generally open for warm-up from 60min to 5-10 min before the official race start which will be confirmed by an official. Failure to obey the official’s instructions may lead to a warning, disqualification and/or fine.


Race Format and Regulations

AusCycling Technical Regulations will apply for all events.

All Championship events at this event are Open Championships and therefore open to interstate riders.

Please note that gear restrictions will be enforced for all junior event. Top 4 junior riders in each event are required to present their bike for rollout.

Random bike checks may be conducted for all categories.


Presentations and Prizes

All presentations will held as per the official race program.

As this event is being held as an Open State Championship, interstate riders are eligible to compete and be awarded medals.

All top 3 riders of each event and category are required to attend presentation wearing the club, team, or plain jersey they competed in.

Medals will be awarded for each category separately (even if combined for racing).


Volunteers

Volunteers are required to assist during for this event. If you wish to volunteers or are able to provide a volunteer entry please contact Annina Gallagher (annina.gallagher@auscycling.org.au).

Competing riders providing a volunteer for one or two days will get the entry fee(s) refunded for the day their family member or friend volunteers.
