The Sanctuary Summer Series is run by women, for women (with the help of a few good men). The twilight criterium events are designed to be welcoming, safe, fun, affordable and social. Each event includes opportunities for mentoring and racing, as well as family-friendly activities.
The Sanctuary Summer Series is a team event - three criteriums (crits), teams of three, any combination of grades.
Each team needs to register for the series. There is no cost to register.
Please include the team member names and their approximate grading (A/B/C/D) in the Entry Remarks to help with planning.
Team kit is preferred but not required, however riders from any given team are requested to wear similar colours (e.g. black jerseys).
Registered teams will be given early access to event entry. Each team member will need to enter each event.
Once the early access period has expired, entries will go public. There is a wait list if we hit capacity (60 riders).
Criteriums (mentoring session included) | $10 per event |
Mentoring session only | $10 per event |
Little Critters | $0 |
Creche (bookings required) | $0 |

What if?
One of the team can't make one of the events?
The team can use a substitute rider for that event.

Graded handicap criteriums for women, with two grades on the circuit at once. The faster grade will start after a suitable time gap, with the aim of catching the slower grade.
Grades are limited to 15 riders per grade.
This is a team event, with riders in teams of three. Team members can enter any grade. Participation points for all three team members will go towards the overall total, with additional points awarded to the top 5 finishers in each criterium. Before the start of the criteriums, 4Five+ Athlete Collective will be offering mentoring sessions
All riders U15 and above are welcome to join in these sessions, especially those new to criteriums.
The mentoring sessions are free if you have entered a criterium, or $10 if you want to do the mentoring session only. There will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A, and women experienced in criterium racing will take you through some skills in a non-competitive setting. This is an opportunity to build your confidence while riding on a criterium circuit.
An AusCycling licence is required to participate. Entries are strictly limited to 15 participants.
This is a fun session for the kids, involving chaperoned laps around the circuit for all budding cyclists. Anyone can join in on any bike, but you need a helmet. An AusCycling license is required for this event.
A creche service will be provided free of charge, sponsored by Dome Westralia Plaza. Numbers are strictly limited to 10 and bookings per via the entry form are essential.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist with registration desk, first aid etc. If you or someone you know is able to volunteer at our event, please let us know. Teams providing a volunteer will earn series points.
