BMX South Queensland and Logan City BMX Academy are proud to host Round 3 of the 2021 AusCycling Queensland State BMX Series. The Logan City BMX Academy is conveniently located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The track is located in Underwood Park, 982-1006 Underwood Road, Priestdale. The facility is approximately 25minutes drive from Brisbane Airport and an hour from Gold Coast Airport. There are plenty of accommodation options in the surrounding suburbs or a Autumn short stay on the GC to have a mini break with BMX as a bonus. State Series Categories

Points are accumulated across the State Series on the following Categories.
Clubs may offer additional entry categories but they will not attract Series points.

20” Challenge (M/F) 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+
24” Cruiser (M/F) 8-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+
Masters 30+ Male 20”, 30+ Female Open Wheel
Superclass Male/Female 16+
Junior Superclass Male/Female 14-16

2.01.03 A competitor may enter in:

  • One (1) Age, one (1) Cruiser and one (1) Superclass

  • A rider cannot ride in both Junior Superclass and Superclass at the same event and or series.

  • Minimum age for Junior Superclass is year of birth 14

  • One (1) Masters category and one (1) Cruiser category per event.


Club Categories

The following non-series categories are offered by the host-club

Sprockets 2-5 years, 6 years, 7 years

Riding Up

All ages are based on year-of-birth (age as at 31/12/2021). For State Series rounds competitors may ride up in higher ability categories and/or ride the opposite gender category. Riders younger than 30 may enter older age categories up to the pinnacle class of 30-34. Riders older than 34 may enter younger age categories (higher in ability) down to the pinnacle class of 30-34. Participation categories are permitted to ride up within their category only. (e.g. Sprockets must stay in Sprockets and Novice must stay in the Novice Category).

Race format will be 3x Motos, Qualifiers and Finals. Participation classes and classes with eight (8) riders or less will race 4x Motos.


Notes:
1. Credit Card Fees are additional to the fees above and passed on at cost (1.2% + 30c per entry)

  1. Auscycling State Series Fee of $5.00 + GST and SQORZ Fee of $2.00 per rider, per class is been included in the event fee.

  2. Cash Prizes paid by EFT, Junior Superclass Prize Pool Subject to Regulation 5.02

  3. Individual Series Round Awards will be based on Race Class not Entry Class.

  4. Regulations 2.03.02(a) & 2.03.03(a) apply

  5. If you can officiate please, complete your EOI prior to your rider's nomination. Officials EOI

  6. Volunteer Officials who participate in a minimum of two motos will be supplied with a light meal from the canteen menu.

  7. It is Rider's Responsibility to ensure the Race Secretary has your BSB & Bank Account details prior to racing to ensure a timely payment of your cash prize.

    EFT Advice Form

Scratching:

Entered & now can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off. Non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate. Requests for refunds once scratching has closed should be sent via email with any relative documentation. e: events@bmxsouthqld.org


Quick Reminders

  • Transponders:
    • This is a transponder timed event series.
    • it is a rider's responsibility to ensure the transponder is correctly affixed to their bike and is operational which includes subscription
    • Transponders can be purchased at from many of our local clubs or via https://www.sqorz.com/store/p3/transponder.html#/
    • A transponder must have an active Subscription PRIOR to entering. This can be done at https://mylaps.sqorz.com/
    • All riders (except Sprockets & Mini Wheelers) must have a transponder
  • Plates:
    • Riders are required to supply a plate number at entry.
    • Any duplicate plate numbers will dealt with by adding an 'X' to one plate to resolve the duplicate.

Venue Specific Notices

  • No Alcohol and/or Smoking (Including E-Cigarettes or other vaping devices) within the BMX Precinct.
  • Any Rider, Spectator, Official or Volunteer that is not willing to comply with these guidelines or the related event COVID Safe Plan and Check-list is encouraged not to participate in this event.
  • Pets are strictly prohibited with the Event Precinct.

Event Cancellation Refunds

  • Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
  • We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
