2025 PACC // Zero Friction Christmas Time Trial - including Team Time Trials


Race Details

Race Details The race will be held on Sunday 21 December 2025, with racing starting at 7:30am. All riders must have signed on before 7:15am in time for rider briefing. Sign-on will be at Osborne Skate Park on Victoria Road, Outer Harbor.

Riders will be seeded and start times will be posted the evening prior to the event. There will be no on the day entries. Seeding will be based on previous events - if you have not done a PACC TT before, place an estimated speed in the comments field when entering.

There will be a random door prize for entrants thanks to Zero Friction Cycling, but no podiums or winners' prizes. This is for your own satisfaction only.

RACE ANY BIKE! Bikes must have at least one working brake, and be in good mechanical condition. Racing is open to tandem and para athletes. Don't have a road bike or a TT bike? Come on your mountain bike, and challenge yourself on knobbly tires.

When entering, please select between TT or Road Bike. If you select Road Bike, you may not use any time-trial specific equipment, including TT helmets, disc or tri-spoke wheels, or aerobars or clip-on extensions. Individual results will be classified by TT or Road Bike - teams will be in a single category.

There will be no official bike measurements performed in regards to TT bars/seat positions. Please bear this in mind if you are hoping to compete in other events which require compliant bikes.

Riders are NOT able to race the TTT and the TT.

Special Conditions for Teams

  • Riders entering as part of a team must hold an AusCycling All-Discipline Racing Licence. No 'lifestyle' or 'off-road' licences will be accepted. Riders MUST be able to provide proof of their racing licence if requested on the day.
  • All riders entering as part of a team must enter individually. Team captains must email president@pacc.org.au by no later than Thursday 18 December with a list of the riders in their team (including their licence number), and we will manually group into teams.
  • Teams are capped at 6 riders. Team pricing is either $25/each or $100/team.
  • Team captains with 4 or more riders should enter as a 'Team Captain', all other team members should enter as 'Team Member', and add the name of their team captain when prompted.
  • Team times will be taken on the third rider across the line. The results may not display on the day, but we'll publish times after the event.
  • We will not be differentiating between teams with TT bikes and those on road bikes.
  • Riders entering as teams acknowledge that riding in a team time trial carries higher risks than riding individually. Riders must exercise caution, ride within their abilities, and must maintain full awareness of their surroundings, and follow all road rules, including riding in the bike lane, giving way, etc.

Junior Riders

Parents are asked to be familiar with the AusCycling Junior Policy, particularly in regard to equipment and race distance, which can be downloaded here: https://www.auscycling.org.au/page/about/policies-rules.

A modified course will be available for Junior Riders based on AusCycling's Junior Policy. Assistance will be required from parents / carers to allow this to occur. Please email secretary@pacc.org.au with rider details (name and category) and acknowledgement of information re junior riders prior to registering. Any exemptions allowing a rider to ride a longer event must be organised by the rider and provided to PACC prior to the event.

U13 and U15 - 8km - sign on at the Osborne Skate Park then make your way to the alternate start point at the roundabout at Harrold Street and Lady Gowrie Drive. Note that this will take time, so sign on early and meet the Commissaire at the start line. Parents are welcome (encouraged) to follow riders on bike. A Commissaire will follow the final rider by vehicle for the duration of the event.

U17 riders - PACC has been granted an exemption for U17 riders to ride the full distance. No riding up waivers are required.

Licences

All riders must hold a AusCycling Race (All Discipline) or Lifestyle membership. Please ensure this membership number is the one used when entering the event so that online membership checks can be undertaken.


Timing

PACC will be providing live timing for this event. If you have been issued with a PACC Timing Tag previously, please bring it along. For riders new to our races, a tag will be available for collection at the Registration Desk, along with your race number. Live results will be available from www.results.pacc.org.au/2025/

TTT times will be taken from the 3rd rider. Team timing will be finalised after the event.


Race Numbers

Riders will be provided with a race number which must be returned at the end of each race. Riders who forget to return their numbers may be charged a replacement fee.


Race Fees

Individual races for $25 each ($15 for J17 and younger).

Entries are capped at 80 riders total.

Port Adelaide Members who are current State Champions will be provided with free entry to one race per season. Please email us at committee@pacc.org.au to get your name added to the start list!
