Get ready to experience the adrenaline rush of the Tour of Bright Criterium! It's back for 2026. Imagine blazing through streets in the town centre of Bright, packed with spectators and wall to wall noise:
As it's own separate race - it's not counted in the Tour of Bright General Classification final standings - this might be your chance to ride off the front and experience that sweet taste of victory! Think of it as your entree, our own People's Bank Classic if you will. By any means, pinning on a number and getting the adrenaline levels up, is a great warm up for the Tour of Bright proper that starts the following day:
We've been working closely with, and would like to thank the Alpine Shire, Bright Chamber of Commerce and all shopfronts to bring racing back to the streets of Bright's centre. As the day fades into night, the atmosphere will be electric, with our normally quiet streets transformed into a high-speed battleground. The Chamber of Commerce will have the Night Market set up on the other side of Ireland street with lots of food and drink options for spectators and racers to enjoy.

5:30 - 6:05 (30 minutes + 2 laps) Men B
6:10 - 6:55 (40 minutes + 2 laps) Women A
7:00 - 7:45 (40 minutes + 2 laps) Men A
Due to high demand Men's A Grade will be invitational only. As a guide we expect the standard to be higher then last year, we will endeavour to get the invitations out ASAP, in the meantime please enter B grade and email adb@alpinecyclingclub.com.au a request to move to A Grade and we will try to accommodate your request.
RACE FORMAT:
Each race will be capped at 35 riders - so please get in early. The event will sell out.
There will be a waitlist. If riders entered scratch, then wait listed riders will be contacted.
Please be at the Marshal area ( Mill Rd near finish line) 10 minutes before your start time. Start times may vary slightly and will be confirmed closer to the event.
Riders will be pulled if they get dropped for the safety of all racing.
Note: Events may be cancelled or modified for rider safety if conditions are hazardous due to wet roads, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

LICENSING
AusCycling Racing Membership is required.
For overseas riders, an international UCI License will be accepted.
ENTRY FEE $40 per rider
SCRATCHING POLICY
Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching permitted until entries close. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.
