Thanks to club member feedback & tackling the barriers to participation we have introduced a FAMILY DISCOUNT for those with more than 4 family members racing.

Scratching:
Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.

Race Schedule-

7:30 - 8:00 - Plate Collection

8:15 - 8:30 - Rider's Briefing

8:30 - 13:00 - Racing

Podiums will take place soon after racing has concluded.

RACE FORMAT

Riders will have 4 hours 30min to complete full course all timed stages,

ELITE category will have to complete 2 timed runs of the queen stage.

**EBIKE category will complete longer NATIONALS/HAPPYS stage by following ebike COURSE TO CUSCUS FINISH below - as per rider briefing

Start order is self seeding, so pick you spot, you can go straight after someone if you wish, there will be timing crew out on course but not at the start of every stage, don't leave big gaps or you might not make it back in time.

Stages can be done in any order.

Riders will be expected to complete blue, black, double black grade trails

U15 (13-14) - 4 stages

U17 (15-17) - 4 stages

Junior U19 (17-18) - 4 Stages

Open Men and Women - 3 Stages

Veterans (30-44) - 4 Stages

Masters (45+) - 4 Stages

Expert (19-29) - 4 Stages

Elite 19+ - 5 Stages

Information

Welcome to CAIRNS ENDURO SEASON - The 2nd race of the year will be on some fun courses with old favorites - stay tuned for details.

Location:

Race HQ will be based at the Crankworx site. There will be plenty of parking and area for competitors to set up here.
Bring your volunteers, supporters and cheer squad.

Course Description

Stages :

Stage 1

(all participants complete this stage first)

NATIONALS TRANSFER TO HAPPIES - ONTO MP39 - STUMPIES FINISH (ALL THE WAY TO THE SHUTTLE ROAD TURNAROUND)

• liaison climb via shuttle road - all riders to take note of course marshal direction.

**NOTE EBIKE STAGE:

NATIONALS TRANSFER TO HAPPIES - UP ROAD CLIMB TO CUSCUS THEN BACK ONTO EXIT OF MP39 TO STUMPIES - FINISH (ALL THE WAY TO THE SHUTTLE ROAD TURNAROUND).

Stage 2

VINES (start from concrete road)

• liaison stage via tank road / red ringer climb

Stage 3

NATIONALS

• liaison climb via shuttle road

Stage 4

ROCKY DINGO / PDS / CROCSLIDE / BACK ONTO PDS TO FINISH AT TANK ROAD.

** note Ebike and Elite complete this stage twice.

Race License

ALL RIDERS MUST HOLD A CURRENT AUSCYCLING RACE LICENCE or DAY LICENCE TO COMPETE IN THIS EVENT.

A visual verification of this may be required on the day. So download your TidyHQ card to your phone wallet or take a screenshot for proof.

All U13 U15 U17 riders are required to have to following gear to race:

Full Face Helmet

Full Finger Gloves

Knee Pads

Extra gear is optional

Make sure you have enough water to last the race or plan to refill, any tools required to fix any mechanicals - you must be self sufficient.

After the podium ceremony random prizes from our event sponsors, will be drawn.

Event Cancellations

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
• We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
