Overview

As part of the build up to the 2024 Tour of Bright the Alpine Cycling Club is hosting a twilight criterium race on Sunday 3rd November. Races will commence and finish within Pioneer Park Reserve in Bright, with a loop of approximately 1 kilometre. Races will last between 35 and 55 minutes depending upon your grade.

All entries online through EntryBoss. Entries close 3:00pm, 2 hours prior to racing, Sunday 3rd November.

Each grade has a 30-rider limit, riders will be waitlisted if there are greater than 30 entries in a grade. Please note as part of this weekend there will also be a social ride on Monday called the 'Gaps Loop'. This will follow the Stage 1 Tour of Bright route. This will leave Bright around 7:30am on Monday 4th November from Cycle Path bike shop.

VENUE:

Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve, Coronation Avenue BRIGHT. Race numbers will be provided at registration.

REGISTRATION:

Open 4.30pm Close 5:15pm Sunday 3rd November

ON COURSE WARM UP:

5:00pm -5.15pm.

RACE BRIEFING

B/D Grade 5:20pm - Non attendance at race brief, no start, no exceptions.

A/C Grade 6:20pm or close of B/D Grade racing - Non attendance at race brief, no start, no exceptions.

START TIMES:

5:30pm - B grade & D grade

6:30pm - A grade & C grade

Please be at the start line 10minutes before your start time.

RACE FORMAT:

1 km closed road circuit.

A Grade 50min + 2 laps,

B Grade 45min + 2 laps,

C grade 40min + 2 laps,

D grade 35min + 2 laps.

Note: Events may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous due to wet roads, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first 3 placegetters in each grade and the first female in each category.

Licensing

AusCycling Racing Membership is required.

You must have your current membership card with you at registration or an email or paperwork confirming your membership. If you haven't raced before, a 4 week trial is available here from AusCycling: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial ACC operate a strict "no license, no race" policy. For overseas riders, an international UCI License will be accepted.

ENTRY FEE

$30 per rider

Scratching policy

Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching permitted until midnight the night before race day. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.

COURSE MAP The race is run in an anticlockwise direction.
