GENERAL INFO

Alpine Cycling Club

Overview As part of the Alpe de Buffalo cycling weekend in Bright the Alpine Cycling Club is hosting an inaugural criterium race for adult riders on Saturday 18th March. Races will commence and finish within Pioneer Park in Bright, with a loop of approximately 1 kilometre. Races will last between 25 and 45 minutes depending upon your grade. All entries online through EntryBoss by 4pm Saturday prior to the event. Each grade has a 20-rider limit, riders will be waitlisted if there are greater than 20 entries in a grade.

VENUE: Pioneer Park Recreation Reserve, Coronation Avenue BRIGHT. Riders who have competed in ACC club races this season can use these race numbers. Race numbers for new riders are to be collected from registration.

REGISTRATION: 5:00-5.30pm.

WARM UP: 5:15-5:35pm

START TIMES: 5:45pm - B grade & D grade 6:30pm - A grade & C grade

Please be at the start line 10minutes before your start time.

RACE FORMAT: 1 km closed road circuit. A Grade 40min + 2 laps, B Grade 35min + 2 laps, C grade 30min + 2 laps, D grade 25min + 2 laps. Note: Events may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous due to wet roads, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first 3 placegetters in each grade

Licensing

AusCycling Racing Membership is required. You must have your current membership card with you on the night, or an email or paperwork confirming your membership. If you haven't raced before, a 4 week trial is available here from AusCycling: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial ACC operate a strict "no license, no race" policy. For overseas riders, an international UCI License will be accepted. Entry Fee

*THE CIRCUIT IS AVAILABLE FOR WARMUP FROM 5:15pm UNTIL 5:35pm

Scratching policy

Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching permitted until midnight the night before race day. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.
