Welcome to Round 4 of the 2023 Cairns MTB club Downhill series, POSTPONED TO THE 11TH OF NOVEMBER Due to availability of Events Crew

RACE TRACK - KURANDA

Event Location Trail - start/finish– Kuranda Downhill track on Left side of Kuranda range road heading down to Cairns.

Event Registration and Hub - on Main Roads site & Self Shuttle Turnaround/Parking on Left when heading up Kuranda Range Road.

All Riders must have proof of current 2023 Auscycling membership for insurance - Please show your Tidy HQ card to Officials on the day of the race at Race Plate collection /Pickup.

If no membership Minimum requirements Auscycling Day licence- tick the box in registration below

No on the day Registrations will be allowed.

All riders are required to have to following gear to race,

full Face helmet

full finger Gloves

Knee Pads

Extra gear is optional

RACE FORMAT

All practice will be shelf shuttled buy riders, so you are able to do as many practice runs as you like, so get your mates together and car pool to get max runs in.

Course will be ready bunted for practice from 7am Saturday morning, and can practice from 7am-11am

Then Collect your Race Plate at Registration - MANDATORY Rider Briefing at 11:30am regarding timing and Safety

Timed practice runs possible from 11:30 am - once plate collection is completed.
Fastest time recorded = Race Run. Maximum possible recorded 4 runs - Minimum only need to complete 1 run after 11:30am to record a race time

Riders will be expected to complete double black grade trails

U13- (11-13)

U15 (13-14)

U17 (15-17)

Junior U19 (17-18)

Veterans (30-44)

Masters (45+)

Expert (19-29)

Elite 19+

Event Cancellations

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
• We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
