Vikings Cycling Club and Canberra Cycling Club are again teaming up to bring you a combined road calendar for 2021. Each road race is the result of a collaborative effort from the two clubs.

Category Details

ACT Championship Age Categories to be contested at this event include:

• Men and Women, U15, U17, U19, U23, Elite, Masters 1 - 9
• Paracycling - Category Dependent - Details here

Only UCI Legal bikes and equipment may be used.

Eligibility

These are an 'Open' championship event as per the AusCycling Technical Regulations: General.

As per Clause 2.03.02, only permanent residents of the ACT shall be eligible for the relevant title. The first placed individual from the ACT in each category shall be acknowledged as the Champion for that event and will be presented with relevant prizes.

Riders from other jurisdictions may participate in line with the AusCycling Technical Regulations: General.

Parking

It is recommended that riders park at the Casurina Sands Car Park. The presentation will occur at the top of the hill.

After the event riders can return down the hill to their vehicle.

Race Schedule

If driving, please arrive at the carpark before 830 to reduce traffic entering the car park while riders are starting from the pumping station.

Rego Opens	7.30 am
First rider roll away	08:30 am

Individual Start Times will be published to RaceResult.

Do not arrive at the last minute - allow yourself enough time to attach your timing chip and race number.

Volunteers

The 2021 Road season is run by volunteers from the CCC and VCC, but members from other clubs are welcome to volunteer and support racing in the ACT as well as receive the volunteer incentives set out below.

Volunteers will receive the following incentives at eligible 2021 Road Events:

• Each time you volunteer as a Race Director - 2 free race entries *
• Each time you volunteer in another capacity - 1 free race entry *

To be eligible to claim free entry you must have nominated and been allocated to a race.

To ensure that we have a record of all participants registration is only via EntryBoss.

Licences

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct licence, and your data in EntryBoss is correct. This will be verified when you register. Riders who have a licence issue will not be allocated a position on the start list.

AusCycling Race All Discipline licences are required to contest the Championship categories. One day, 7 day, and 4-week trials are not eligible for the championships.

On the Day

1. Upon arrival please confirm your attendance at the check-in desk (including checking in using the Check-In CBR app, collecting a number and timing chip) and then move clear of the check-in desk area.

2. A rider briefing, count and roll call will be conducted before each grade roll away. Please be ready when your grade is called.

3. At the end of the event riders must return their number and timing chip and then clear the start/finish line area to maintain social distancing requirements. Numbers and timing chips to be returned at the top of the hill.

4. Placegetters please wait for presentations and photos.

5. Results will be posted to my.raceresult.com.

6. If any rider exhibits COVID-19 symptoms in the two weeks following the race, they must advise the COVID-19 Officer who will follow up with health authorities.

Please note

• Riders must register via Entryboss prior to the race.
• On the day entries will not be accepted.
• All riders check-in within the allocated time window. No late check-in.
• Riders must be present for the race brief prior to their grade start.
• Please present your helmet including an approved helmet sticker at sign-on.
• All riders must have a current AusCycling Race All Disciplines membership.

Scratching and Cancellation

• Scratching - Scratching is a self-serve, automated refund via EntryBoss if withdrawing within scratching cut-off.
• Event Cancellation - Riders will be provided with a full refund if the event is cancelled for any reason.
• Refunds - Refunds will not be provided for no-shows or if you scratch after the cut off.
