Trystars is an introduction into the sport of triathlon in the 7-11 year range which has a focus on fun & enjoyment, while encouraging kids to be with friends and make new friends.
It enables kids to develop skills, ability and fitness in a non-competitive environment. Trystars is a Triathlon Australia national program which is managed on a state by state basis to encourage healthy and active participation in the sport. It plays an integral role as the first step of the participation pathway for all juniors.
The aim for this year’s program will be to provide quality coached fun activities and game-based training sessions to help develop skills and confidence in all 3 disciplines plus transition between them, to help our youngsters become Triathletes. The club makes use of suitable safe training venue and coaches with excellent skills and enthusiasm to teach and encourage the children.
The course will run for 6 weeks and include entry into the RTC SunSmart Trystars race in December where the young triathletes can show off their new skills!
Children will have to be a member of triathlon WA or sign up for the Try-Before-You-Buy membership (please contact the Rockingham Triathlon Club by emailing rockytri.enquiries@gmail.com if you need this option).
The RTC Trystars program will be run each Friday, 4:30pm to 5:30pm from 5th November through to 10th December
