The aim is to encourage mountain bike participation in all Northern Inland schools by holding a mountain bike event for high school aged riders of any school, in teams of three.
Race: Sunday 11am, 29 May 2022. More timing details below.
Tamworth Mountain Bike Park
Gate to the Park will open at 7.00 am, and close that afternoon at 5pm. Primary rider will be on part of the course from 9-10:30am.
There is limited parking near the registration/timing/transition/picnic area. Car parking will be provided a short walk from the picnic area. If you are bringing a mini- bus, or mini-bus and trailer, or coach then please email info@tammtb.asn.au and let us know so a special area can be set aside.

You should bring all other items, eg water, food, shelter. Please note that we expect that all rubbish should be taken home – there are no bins provided. We'd appreciate our Park being left spotless.

Early registration closed at 9pm Monday 02 May 2022, registrations after 9pm 02 May 22 may not receive an individualised race plate and custom head sock.
Please message us if you wish to submit a late entry.
A team representative will need to report to the timing tent on race day and be will be given the race plates for each rider in their team.
The race will be a 3 hour team’s event, ridden relay style. The lap will take about 15 minutes.
The team with the most number of laps completed in the 3 hours will be the winner. There will be points awarded for participation and category results to determine the Champion School.
Teams will consist of 3 riders, where possible from the same school. There will be Male, Female and Mixed categories in each of the 3 divisions*: Junior (Years 7 and 8) : Intermediate (Years 9- and 10) : Senior (Years 11 and 12 ) :

In case of very wet weather, or the track being unsuitable to ride (due to prior heavy rain) then the event may be postponed to a date to be confirmed. This postponement will be posted on the website and Facebook page by Friday evening, or on the morning of the race. All entry fees will be held over to this later event.
The Race Directors may cut short the event at any stage after the start if conditions become dangerous.

There will be Course Marshals around the track for the duration of the race to provide safety and communication for riders.
All registered students will be covered for public liability and disabling injuries under the Auscycling Insurance scheme for Day License holders. Details can be found on the Auscycling web site https://www.auscycling.org.au/
It is the responsibility of schools and parents to check the adequacy of any school or Auscycling insurances. School or personal insurance with ambulance cover is recommended.
A pro-forma Risk Assessment is available to be downloaded from the web site to assist teachers in preparing their own Risk Assessment for their school. This is a guide only, and must be checked for adequacy by each school.
Each rider must wear a AS2063 approved helmet, in good repair and properly fitted. Helmets will be randomly checked! Parents and supervisors should ensure that helmets are properly fitted on top of the head (not over the back!), and that chin straps are firm. We also highly recommend that riders wear eye protection and gloves.
There will be a qualified First Aider available at the First Aid post near Registration from 9am to 3pm.
Each rider in teams for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category, and a shield for Champion (Secondary) School.
