Hawthorn Cycling Club in conjunction with Alpine Shire Council and Parks Victoria are proud to host round 1 of the 2021 AusCycling Victorian Junior Road Series at Mt Buffalo.

Registration	The Pavilion – Pioneer Park, Bright Friday 19th March 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Late Registration	Start line – Mt Buffalo Road Saturday 20th March 8:00am – 9:00am
Race 1
Individual Time Trial Saturday 20th March – 10:00am All grades start at Porepunkah	Under 11 - 5 Kilometres Under 13 - 8 Kilometres Under 15 - 8 Kilometres Under 17 - 10 Kilometres Under 19 - 15 Kilometres
Race 2
Criterium Saturday 20th March – 3:00pm Pioneer Park - Bright	Under 11 - 15 mins + 2 laps Under 13 - 15 mins + 2 laps Under 15 - 20 mins + 2 laps Under 17 - 25 mins + 2 laps Under 19 - 30 mins + 2 laps
Presentation	For stage 1 and 2 at conclusion of Criterium
Race 3
Road Race Sunday 21st March Various start times and locations. All races finish at Dingo Dell.	Under 11 - 8:40am - Buffalo Chalet – 6 Km’s Under 13 - 8:10 am - Rollasons Fall – 18 Km’s Under 15 - 8:00am - Buffalo Park entrance 24 Km’s Under 17 - 8:05am - Porepunkah - (1 lap of Porepunkah Mt Buffalo Park entry loop) - 42 Kilometres Under 19 - 8:15am - Porepunkah - (3 lap of Porepunkah Mt Buffalo Park entry loop) - 67 Kilometres

Competition

Category and Grade winners will be determined by lowest overall time for Individual Time Trial and Road Race. Riders also qualify for time bonuses at the Criterium as follows:

1st Place – 30 Seconds

2nd Place – 20 Seconds

3rd Place – 10 Seconds

Technical

Up to the first 10 placegetters at the end of the competition must be available to be rolled out. Any rider whose bike fails rollout will forfeit any time bonuses awarded during the criterium and passed to the next eligible rider.

All riders are eligible for podium positions for each stage, however a rider who’s bike does not comply with rollout will be ineligible for the overall Alpe de Buffalo Champion or the State Hillclimb Championship.

Event Cancellation Refunds

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
