About us

Riding bikes is fun, and Pedal Heads Inc want to share that passion with our local community. We’re excited to be bringing racing back to St Helens with our Comeback Event — and we’d love you to be part of it.

This is our starting point, and with your support we hope to grow the series again and bring you even more races in the future. Join us, bring your friends, and help make this comeback a success.

About the event

For this comeback race, we’ll be focusing on one event only: Icarus.

Icarus is fast, loose, off-camber, and likes to throw you off at every turn. It is also one of the most fun trails you could ask for. Get the lift up to Loila Tier, ride down the first part of Send Helen's, and then climb a few meters to warm up your legs before you drop in. Make sure you check out the rock slab after berm 2 and the entry to the S-curve around the tree a little further in. The final meters to the trail head will test your jumping skills, just next to the fire road, which should give spectators a great view of the action.

Important Junior Category Update: Due to recent changes in AusCycling rules, our junior categories are now restricted to U13–U17 only. Entries for U11 riders are no longer accepted.

• U13: Ages 11–12
• U15: Ages 13–14
• U17: Ages 15–16

Please note that you need to have an AusCycling RACE or DAY license - please check before you sign up.
We're sure your bike is in great nick, with working brakes, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Since we'll be racing on gravity trails we'll require you to bring your full-face helmet (we accept models with removable chin bars). Riders in U13 to U17 will be required to wear knee & elbow guards, full length jersey & full finger gloves, but we hope everyone will be wearing those. Neck, back protection & body armor is highly recommended for all racers.

If you don't want to race

That's not a reason to stay at home! We need marshals to help keep our riders safe, and spectators who cheer them on. In any case bring something to make a lot of noise with!
