Open to anyone age 6 or over!
If you’re new to cycling, or a bit nervous about mountain biking, we are offering a shortened version of the race so that you can have a go and see what all the fuss is about – Course will be the same, but over a reduced time frame..
Spectators are welcome.

What:
Juniors will race a shortened course, <1km in length, taking in the middle section of the Pilot trail and a mild climb. Race will be over a set time limit with participants trying to achieve as many laps as possible.
Under 9's approx 20min
Under 11's approx 20min

U13's and above will be riding a series of laps around a 4.1km course mapped out on existing trails and firebreaks on Corndarup/Mt Clarence and Irrerup/Mt Adelaide. The number of laps will depend on the division you are racing in, and are as follows;

Distances

Open Men – 4 Laps
Masters Men – 4 Laps
Open Women – 3 Laps
Masters Women – 3 Laps
Under 17 – 3 Laps
Under 15 – 3 Laps
Under 13 – 2 Laps
Intro to MTB or Intro to E-MTB – 2 Laps (not a club championship division)
E-MTB Class – 5 Laps

These distances are aimed at providing 1 to 1.5hrs of racing per grade. This is of course only an average, and your results may vary!

Entry Fees

Club Members $5 Senior/Junior Event.
Non Club Member: $10 Junior, $15 all other riders.
Late Entries incur an additional $20 late fee.

Entry fees are kept minimal, ensuring that the total event cost, with the addition of AusCycling membership and/or Day License, aligns with typical entry fees for similar events.

Volunteers

As usual we need awesome helpers to run our events. This round will require track marshals. If you have some supporters coming along, want to get up-close to the racing, or just aren’t in the mood for riding this round, please contact us prior to the day. As an added incentive (to just that warm fuzzy feeling for helping out !), volunteers that help out are entitled to claim one free race entry. Please let us know if you are bringing a volunteer by email e: president@albanymtb.com.au
