New Venue

We've had to move the event to Kowen Forest. Details below.

Entries Close

Noon Friday before the race.

This season entries will close at noon on the Friday before each race. This is to take the pressure off our volunteer race organisers AND reinforce our expectation that participation in one of our events isn't a last-minute decision.

We are proud to announce that this year's road season will again be sponsored by Alivio Tourist Park. Alivio has provided significant financial support to the clubs over the last few years. Please return the favour and support Alivio by:

  • Staying at Alivio when you travel to the ACT for one of our events (promo code details below - CCCVCC)
  • Referring your friends and family to Alivio when they need accommodation in the ACT (promo code details below - CCCVCC)
  • Stopping in for a coffee, drink, or bite to eat at the Verandah.

Gravel is Coming

We are bringing you a Gravel race to warm up your winter and test your bike handling skills.

Racing will start early on Saturday 21 June on our new Kowen course. Once we have finished racing and packed up we will move back to Alivio Tourist park for a feed and more than $1,000 in cash prizes and giveaways, thanks to the awesome team at Alivio Tourist Park.

Event Support

Alivio Tourist Park

Thanks to the team at the Bakehouse, we'll again have post-race muffins and drinks for all registered riders and volunteers.

Trek

Thanks to the team at Trek Phillip, Majura, and Fyshwick, all registered participants will receive a free bike wash valued at $39.

Event Information

Riders must be self-sufficient and able to repair any mechanical mishaps themselves. Carry spare tires, a multi-tool, pump, adequate nutrition, and anything else needed to get up and running in the event of an incident.

We will have one sweeper vehicle and volunteer first aid on site.

Location

Course Start/finish is Here.

Course access is via Sutton Rd then east on Kowen Rd for approximately 6 km to the 'Kowen Rally Village'.

Combined Calendar

VCC and CCC are teaming up to bring you a combined road calendar for 2025. Each road race is the result of a collaborative effort between the two clubs and is supported by Alivio.

Everyone is Welcome

Riders from any club are welcome to participate in this event.

Stay @ Alivio

Stay at Alivio Tourist Park. Use the code CCCVCC at the time of booking for 15% discount on Alivio's best rate. Valid for future bookings two months from the date of booking.

Prizes

$1,000 in cash giveaways.

The winners of these prizes will be by random draw at the Alivio Tourist Park Verandah after the race.

To be eligible for prizes you must:

  • have registered for and started the race and/or
  • be an official event volunteer (must have signed up on the volunteer signup form) and completed your volunteer tasks on the day and
  • be present in person at Alivio to receive your prize.

If a participant or rider is not present at the time of the draw another name will be selected at random until all prizes have been handed out.

Participants/volunteers are only eligible to win one prize.

Thank you Alivio!

Course

Club veteran and all around great guy Ben Morrison, known to many as "Moshy" has crafted this punchy 9k loop.

Course Link: Strava Route Link

The Course may be subject to some small revisions prior to the event date. We'll post updates here as needed.

We recommend loading the course onto a head unit, and sighting the course before the day so you know where to eat/drink and launch the attack on your mates. Following the wheels should work almost as well, just follow the right ones. No time adjustments will be issued for detours.

Bikes

The course is suitable for Cyclocross, Gravel and Mountain Bikes, although if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can bring your Road Bike too.

Everyone's welcome!

In short, ride whatever you want, but gearing will help with some of the hills. And while the roads are in good condition, a road bike will be hard work.

Race Schedule

930 am - Rider Check-in

Check-in for each grade closes 15 minutes before the advertised start time. Do not arrive at the last minute - allow yourself enough time to attach your timing chip and race number.

10 am - First bunch rolls away

12 pm - Lap cutoff time

Riders shall not be permitted to start a new lap after 12pm. At the discretion of race organisers this time cutoff may be brought forward to ensure all riders complete within a reasonable timeframe.

1pm - Event packup

It's a 30-minute drive back to Alivio from the course. Goal is for everyone to be finished and everything packup up by 120 at the latest.

2pm - Presentations

Everyone should be back at Alivio Tourist Park for food, drinks, and prize presentations.
