Race Info

The winter solstice is the longest night and shortest day of the year in terms of daylight. Approaching the winter solstice, daylight becomes shorter. As the winter solstice passes, daylight becomes longer.

Join us on the tracks at Tamworth Mountain Bike Park under the magic night sky pedalling around the awesome loops for a few hours and stay around for dinner, we would love if you even bring the family.

2 Hour race event, enter as a solo or team, you choose!

Collect your race plates from 3.30 pm, with race briefing occurring at 3.45 pm (15 minutes prior to race start).

You must have your own suitable lighting mounted and illuminated to continue racing after sunset.

Last lap must be completed, crossed over the timing mat by 6.00 pm.

Dinner served after, around 6.15 pm around the Campfire! Homemade Soup with bread roll, can of drink & dessert.

Race Route/Loop

The course will provide the opportunity for a fast and flowing pace, utilising the mostly wide and flowy sections of Tamworth Mountain Bike Park.

As always, you can opt to ride until you've had enough (ride for an hour, take an hour off, ride a bit more) - the most laps in the shortest total time counts.

Entry Cost

All riders require a AusCycling licence to participate in the race. See below options;

AusCycling offers a free 4 week trial licence https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial

AusCycling provides a One Day and 7 Day Event Licence, which gives you Public Liability & limited Personal Accident insurance whilst racing. https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/event-licences
