2024 Burnside Women's Health Gravity Girls Race Series

About the Race Series

The Burnside Women's Health Gravity Girls Race Series is a three part women’s race series aimed at introducing women to racing in a supportive environment and fostering an interest and understanding of racing so that they can enter the current racing pathway with confidence and knowledge.

There are competitive entry categories for those who want to challenge themselves and enjoy the opportunity to race against the clock.

There are also non-competitive categories for those who want to experience the event and ride on closed trails in a structed environment without the pressure of competition.

The races are open to all females 10 years and above who have a current AusCycling All-Discipline or Off-Road race license.

Race 1 - Cross Country Marathon (XCM) - Sunday 24th March, 2024

Craigburn Farm

About Cross Country Marathon

A Cross Country Marathon race requires participants to complete the largest number of laps of a course in the given time. The length of this XCM race is 3 hours (9am-12pm) and may start their final lap up until 2:59:59 after the race commences. There will be a mass start, meaning all riders will begin together at 9am. Start position will be based on a self-seeding basis, with faster riders towards the front and slower riders towards the back.

The course will be a circuit and will consist of climbs and descents. It will be on blue level trails. Duo riders will compete in a relay style, and must tag their partner in the change over zone in the race village. Partners may complete the same or different number of laps.
