Format: Enduro/stage race

With a focus on fun and race participation we will all ride together and self seed for starting segments. Leaving a gap for timing between riders as required. With only the downhill sections timed you don’t have to be super ride fit, just fit enough and practiced on these stages.
It’s recommended that you wear full gloves, knee pads/ elbows covered (long sleeves) and a full face helmet.
Note : ( full face not mandatory if you can’t get one in time, but highly recommended for safety)
Race day will finish with a party, sausage sizzle and presentation of prizes thanks to Discovery Cycles for the podiums and lucky entry prizes if you race! So come and join in the fun, and bring your mates to spectate.

Event Registration will be open from 1-2 weeks before the event and capped at 60 competitors
We DO NOT allow on the day registrations,
STAGE 1 - HALF ROCKY DINGO
( TO get to the start you need to push up the water tank road, past Jacobs ladder, past ocean view, keep going till you see a trail on you right push you bike up that back wards till you see a cleared area Starting up on the old DH start, rider will ride trail taking all B lines marked, to finish on the flat at ocean view
STAGE 2 - MYNDAS
Riding the climb trail back wards, rider will start at ocean view and ride down trail to finish on the small bridge.
STAGE 3 - CENTIPEDE
Starting at the top of centipede, riders will do full trail taking the hard left turn at the end to finish on big bridge
Course inspection: A course inspection will be completed by the event organisers 1-2 weeks prior to the event. During this inspection the organisers will have to identify any issues or improvements that require attention and then with the Cairns MTB Clubs’ approval have them rectified before the start of the event, if necessary to do so.
Event management will take place at the crank work site behind the JCU , big gravel area with the jumps, toilet facilities are located at the club house and one portable one on site Once the event is completed the organisers will hold a complimentary sausage sizzle for all competitors and their families. Soft drinks will be available for purchase for $2
Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.
