COVID-19 Safety Requirements

The COVID-19 environment has evolved in 2022 and restrictions in relation to participation & spectator requirements are fluid. Therefore, we are adopting the AusCycling COVID-19 Resource Centre guidelines.

• This race has strict COVID Safety requirements
• Please stay safe, during these unprecedented times and continue to follow the requirements set by government.
• Full refunds or credit will be offered for a COVID Related Cancellation.
• If you've been directed to quarantine by SA Health, you must comply with this order. Please do not attend our event.

Race Info

Rules specific to the Blackchrome Series are as follows:

• Date: Sunday 12th February 2023
• Event: Blackchrome Criterium Series
• Location: Victoria Park
• Racing starts at: 9.00 am
• Registration opens at: 8.00 am at the Registration Desk
• Race format: Graded Criterium Racing
• Transponders: We use the MyLaps transponder system at present.
  
• Entry Cost: $20.00
• There will be 3 races in the complete Series (i.e. 15 - 22 - and now 12th feb 2023)

Nominations

Riders should nominate on EntryBoss by no later than 7.00 pm on the Thursday preceding the next race. Online nominations are preferred as it assists organisers in determining rider numbers on the night & also valid up-to-date medical and emergency contact information.

We will not be accepting registrations at the desk on the day.

Transponder Hire

All riders must have a currently licensed MyLaps transponder fitted to their bike's front fork. Transponders can be hired from the Registration Desk for $5.00/race.

EntryBoss Grading

Each rider's grade will be initially determined by reference to the Criterium Grades database as of 30 September 2021.

• Grading: Nominated riders will be graded (A,B,C,D,E). In cases where after Race 1 it appears that a rider has been under-graded (e.g. graded C instead of B), they will be regraded, and depending on the circumstance under which they were wrongly graded (e.g. misinformation, or out of date information), they may retain their points from Race 1. Similarly, if a rider has clearly been over-graded they may be graded down for Race 2 and 3.

The current 2019-20 Criterium Grades database can be viewed on the AMCC website (vlcc.org.au) Criterium Page. Your mark will be confirmed via the Startlist published after scratching close.

Scratching

Need to withdrawal from the event? EntrvBoss enables a self-serve refund if things change and you can't make the event. Please use the 'Scratch' button to trigger a refund and automatically remove yourself from the starlist.
(Please note the scratching cut-off time as the button is not available after this).

Marshalls & Volunteers

These races only happpen because of the good work done by our volunteers. If you are able to help set up or pack down, please make yourself known to our vollies on the day or email vice-president2@adelaidemasterscc.org.au. We love to have people help at the track on race day!!!

Marshalls We will organise 2 x marshalls for the event to supervise on the track but we'd appreciate volunteers to assist if available for future criteriums.

The following point system will apply to the first 10 riders to cross the finish line at the end of each race as listed in the table above i.e. 10 for 1st down to 10th respectively. In each grade after completion of all 3 races (the Series) prizes will be awarded to 3 riders with the highest total points. In the case of a tie, a countback will occur and places will be finalised.
