Girls Who Ride 4

Calling All Junior Girls at Canberra CC, Vikings CC and Canberra Off Road Cyclists.

Girls Who Ride

Local elite riders Em Viotto, Ella Bloor and Eliza Smyth are going to host another Girls Who Ride bunch on 30th October 2022.

All junior girls riding with Canberra Cycling Club, Vikings Cycling Club and Canberra Off Road Cyclists are invited to sign up for the bunch.

Come and join Em (MyRide/Shimano), Ella (Team InFormTMX Make), Eliza Smyth (Sports Physio, A-Line Moves), for a one hour bunch ride, followed by an essential post ride café chat.

This is another great opportunity for junior girls to talk with the ride hosts about all things women’s cycling whether it be, road, track or MTB. Our hosts have seen plenty of action this winter with local, national and international level road and MTB competition, with Em recently topping off a bunch of wins with a National XCM title. As always, there is no shortage of topics the junior girls can chat to the hosts about.

Girls Who Ride is Back!

The ‘Girls Who Ride’ bunch ride is for competent U13-U17 girls, with the focus on bunch skills, fitness and most importantly, a safe social environment for mentoring, group conversation and good times, all under the leadership of our local experts and racers. “We want to keep our young cyclists engaged in the sport for the long term and attract many more along the way. Canberra has a wealth of riches when it comes to experienced and successful cycling women. We hope that by running and growing this juniors’ bunch we can use these experienced women to help build development pathways for our junior girls, so that they stay in the sport for the long term, both to their and the sport’s benefit.”
