This is the second and final round in our gravel series, and Vikings and Canberra Cycling Clubs will award a Canberra 'gravel champ' at the end of the event. Winners will receive virtual medals ;)
The formula is the same...different lengths to cater for different abilities. As usual, the event will be catered reflecting the relaxed nature of Gravel Cycling.
To be eligible for Champs category, you must enter with an AusCycling 'Race Off-Road' or 'Race All Discipline' licence. Lifestyle, 1 day, 7 day, and 4 week trials will not be eligible for our champs medal categories.
The Champs Age Categories to be contested include:
It is a race, a timed participation event, and it’s fully catered. Prizes, refreshments, and merch will be provided by BentSpoke Brewing.
We are proud to announce that this year's road season will be sponsored by Alivio Tourist Park.
VCC and CCC are again teaming up to bring you a combined road calendar for 2022. Each road race is the result of a collaborative effort from the two clubs and supported by Alivio.
Course start will be the Crit Track at SFP.
Food and coffee will be available at the event.
Located at the Pavilion at SFP.
Other riders and park users will be on the trails at SFP. Be courteous and respectful as you cross MTB trails and overtake/are overtaken by other riders. Remember that this is a relaxed gravel event: we're all here to have fun.
The course is suitable for Cyclocross, Gravel and Mountain Bikes, although if you're feeling particularly adventurous you can bring your Road Bike too.
In short, ride whatever you want, but gearing will help with some of the hills. And while the roads are in great condition, a road bike would be hard work.
Final start times will be posted to the Start List on my.raceresult.com once entries close.
Exact times will be reviewed on the day depending on numbers and weather conditions.
Be sure to confirm your start time at check-in.
