EVENT DETAILS

Race entries - Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club (HWCC) is the host club for this joint event with the Lifecycle Cycling Club. HWCC limits each grade at the Nundah Criterium Circuit to 60 riders.

Clubs - Riders from ALL CLUBS are invited to race. This is an AusCycling 'Bronze' event. 'Lifestyle' and 'Non-Riding' licences will not be not accepted.

Rider Gradings - Riders should enter in their club grade or the one most appropriate for them. HWCC and Lifecycle Handicappers will use existing grading lists and review all entries before moving them from 'provisional' to 'confirmed'. If appropriate, please provide comments when entering to assist the handicappers. It's important for all riders to check the EntryBoss Startlist and race start times prior to racing, to confirm which grade they will be racing in.

EntryBoss Entry - Please make sure your current AusCycling licence number is registered with EntryBoss before entering. Do not use a previous licence number. Entries are checked against AusCycling current/financial licence lists. Riders should have their digital licence ready or printed email ready to show if requested. To obtain your digital licence - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lOQwgx7wMiXIUzZ8ud5GuDWLpMjhfh1P/view

Registration/Race Patches - Registration at the Nundah clubhouse begins at 6.30am. Riders must wear their race number patches on their right side. There is a compulsory Commissaire's briefing in the centre of the circuit before each race. Riders who miss this briefing will not be allowed to start.

Para Cyclists and Tandems - Please note that the Lifecycle club especially encourages Para Cyclists and Tandems at their events. Accordingly, riders should be aware that there may be Para Cyclists and Tandems in their race. All efforts will be made to ensure these entrants are placed in the most appropriate grade.

Juniors - All Juniors U19s and lower must have their gearing rollout checked on the footpath near the clubhouse steps BEFORE picking up their race number. Juniors graded with their club for senior events, may race in the Men's and Women's races.

Prizes - Cash prizes for seniors races are proportional to entry numbers and generally are awarded to the first 3 places. Prizes for juniors will be awarded appropriately. All podium presentations are made at the clubhouse - photographs are encouraged.

Results - HWCC publishes all race results on their website (usually within a day or two) - http://www.hamiltonwheelers.com/

Race Scratchings - If riders find they are unable to race after entering HWCC races, they may 'scratch' themselves up to 5am on normal race days, 3pm for Twilight races and up to 7pm the night before handicap races - the entry fee will be refunded. Click on the 'Scratch' button on the EntryBoss event page. Please note that there is a very small cost to the club due to unrecoverable merchant fees, whenever riders' scratch themselves.

Wet-weather Policy - A decision to cancel due to poor weather will only made by the Chief Commissaire with announcements made via the club's social pages. Generally, we race in all weather, except heavy rain or if there are sheets of water on the road surface. Any decision on cancellation will be made as early as possible.

All entry fees are refunded in the case of events being cancelled.

COVID-19 POLICY

This event will be conducted using the current guidelines or rules established by Queensland Government, the Queensland Health Officer, AIS, AusCycling Australia and AusCycling Queensland.
