Course Description

The L1 RT coaching course is aimed at people who want to coach club level and state/territory championship level road and track riders to develop and advance their road and track skills and tactics, riding fitness and racing skills.
The course aims to provide coaches with an introduction to the principles of training, and the planning, implementation, analysis and revision of road and track coaching programs. This is achieved through an understanding and application of the underpinning knowledge of the CACOAS Accreditation Program, specific to road and track.

Prerequisites

  • Attendees must be current members of CA
  • Attendees must have previously completed the Community Club Coach course

Prior to the course, attendees must complete two free online courses:
1. Community Coaching General Principles Online Course
2. ASADA Anti-Doping online course

For the coaching accreditation to be valid, coaches must hold;

  • a current First Aid certificate
  • a current Working With Vulnerable People card
