RIDE the PINEY again!

Get ready for one of best social MTB events BACK on the calender again!

ABOUT

The INFAMOUS Half 12 Hour In The Piney is returning. NOW as a 6 hour Event.
This marks a return of Teams / Solo endurance Social events to the PINEY and all the fun that brings.
Race HQ will be deep in the Forest, part of the MEDIEVAL Village and the trails will be a fun and fast 8km loop.

This event is all about celebrating friends and families coming together for a great atmosphere..
We are not racing for sheep stations here, it's fun racing to celebrate the joy of riding bikes in the PINEY Trails..

HOW IT WORKS

For teams, one rider completes a lap before handing over to their next teammate.

Then the next rider heads out for a lap, and the team continues rotating riders until the event finishes.

• Riders can complete multiple laps.
• Every rider in a team must complete at least one lap.
• Riders do not have to complete the same number of laps.
• All laps must be completed before the event finishing time.
• If the event finishes while you're still out on course, that lap will not count.

Simple — ride, tag your teammate, repeat!

For Solo's

• Ride as long or as little as you want.
• Minimum of 1 lap to qualify
• All laps must be completed before the event finishing time.
• If the event finishes while you're still out on course, that lap will not count.

KIDS Event:

• Open to all kids (up to U13 years and accompanying parents)

• Starts 10am for 25min on modified 1.5km course

Registering a Team

Each rider registers individually through EntryBoss.

The first person registering for your team should enter your Team Name.

Once the team name has been created, other riders will be able to select it from the team drop-down menu when they register.

You don't all need to register at the same time.

We'll sort and confirm teams before racing.

If you don't have a full team, don't worry — enter as a team and you can rope in some friends by race day, or you can ride individually.

New to EntryBoss?

If you haven't created an EntryBoss account before, you'll be asked to select a Membership Type / Governing Body.

If you don't have an AusCycling MTB or Road Cycling licence, simply select N/A from the drop-down menu. This will allow you to create your account and enter the event. You can then buy any required Day Licences as part of the entry process.

EVENT LOCATION

PINEY NEMTB Trails – Armidale State Forest
Pine Forest Road (Off Rockvale Rd about 1.5km past the 'Tilbuster Ponds' Bridge)
Forest Access: from the trail head carpark via good quality gravel road

The Event Village will be located in the forest, near the Medieval Village. Parking will be available in the Village area.

SET UP YOUR TEAM BASE

There will be room for marquees trackside & around the event village. You can drive to the race village, set up and ride. Just make sure your set up is compact to make sure there is room for everyone.

Bring your:
* Marquee (space is first in, best dressed)
* Chairs
* Riding gear

Set yourself near the track or on the Village green close to the rider changeover area and soak up the atmosphere.

You don't have to be racing to come along! Bring the family out, watch the racing, let the kids play in the medieval Village and hang out.

Course

Follow the RED ARROWS for the course. Event will use the flowy sections out the back of the Pine forest with minimal rocks & roots. The hill trails at Piney were destroyed with storm damage and the recent 2025 Forest clearing, leaving the flowy trails near the creek and out the back.
Lap Distance: ~8km
Elevation Gain: ~90m per lap - No large hills.
