Get ready to experience the adrenaline rush of the Tour of Bright Criterium! After a hiatus, it's back for 2024. Imagine blazing through streets in the town centre of Bright, packed with spectators and wall to wall noise:
As it's own seperate race - it's not counted in the Tour of Bright General Classification final standings - this might be your chance to ride off the front and experience that sweet taste of victory! Think of it as your entree, our own People's Bank Classic if you will. By any means, pinning on a number and getting the adrenaline levels up, is a great warm up for the Tour of Bright proper that starts the following day:
We've been working closely with, and would like to thank the Alpine Shire, Bright Chamber of Commerce and all shopfronts to bring racing back to the streets of Bright's centre. As the day fades into night, the atmosphere will be electric, with our normally quiet streets transformed into a high-speed battleground:

5:30 - 6:00 'Come and Try' women only
6:00 - 6:30 Division 2 men
6:30 -6:45 Junior participation race
6:45 - 7:20 Division 1 women
7:20 - 8:00 Division 1
Please be at the start line 10 minutes before your start time.
RACE FORMAT:
The field will be capped at 35 riders per grade - so please get in early. The event will sell out.
There will be a waitlist. If riders entered scratch, then wait listed riders will be contacted.
Division 1 is open to strong experienced riders. Typically those who enter A and B club races.
Division 2 is open to riders who typically enter C & D grade club races.
'Come and Try' women only. This category is aimed at women new to road cycling who would like to try racing a criterium under the guidance and support of expert females. This category will be fully refunded by the Alpine cycling club as an incentive for women to participate in the event.
The junior participation race is open to 9-16 year old, boys and girls. There is no cost for the junior participation race.
Experienced U17 juniors can chose to race in senior categories. There will be an entry fee of $20 for juniors if you chose to enter in the senior grades.
Note: Events may be cancelled or modified if conditions are hazardous due to wet roads, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each grade.
LICENSING
AusCycling Racing Membership is required. You must have your current membership card with you on the night, or an email or paperwork confirming your membership. If you haven't raced before, a 4 week trial is available here from AusCycling: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial For overseas riders, an international UCI License will be accepted.
ENTRY FEE $40 per rider
SCRATCHING POLICY
Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching permitted until midnight the night before race day. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.
