IMPORTANT - Extra Information

  • 3 Stages, riders are to complete full racecourse (at least one valid run on all timed stages), combined fastest times from each stage will determine final standings

  • Stages can be completed in any order during the official race time

  • U13 category will be given 1 shuttle uplift by designated uplift vehicle per stage.

  • There will be strictly NO private shuttles allowed on the race day and anyone caught shuttling will receive DNF.

  • Riders are encouraged to use good behaviour racing practice. Overtake only when safe to do so. When approaching slower rider, hail “RIDER” so they know to pull over when safe to do so. Do not cut the lines and follow only bunted stages (it is not fair to others and significant cutting will result in DNF). Do not extend “run-in” on self-seeding stages, just be fair to others and start at a FIRST Start sign.

  • Follow only bunted stages, if you make a wrong turn and damage stage bunting, please come back and repair damaged bunting (so rider behind you doesn’t make the same error)

  • Stage START will be marked by two signs, FIRST one will determine where your stage “run-in” starts and SECOND one is where your stage timing starts. There will be also two FINISH signs, first one will signal you that you are approaching to stage finish and second one is when your time stops.

  • Two timed race runs with the fastest time recorded.

  • Club championship point score 1st=80 2nd=65 3=55 4=48 5=43 6=38 7=33 8=29 9=25 10=22 11th=20 12=19 and so on.

  • DNF will be awarded 5 points and DNS will be awarded 1 point

  • All are expected to have at least sighted the DH trail on the mountain and be riding appropriate
    bikes for the terrain.

  • We recommend riding our trails in the weeks leading up to your first race.

  • Under 13 yo who have not sighted the trails MUST ride with a parent or guardian.

Protective Gear

  • A Full-face helmet is essential. Removable chin bar helmets for DH events are NOT approved by Auscycling.
  • U17 and younger categories also must wear knee and elbow guards as well as full-finger gloves. We further recommend neck and back protection.
  • Body Armour is recommended.

Timing

  • Race Plates include the timing chip are to be collected in the morning during registrations. It is rider’s responsibility to test check their plate at the test area that will be setup at the trailhead before race.
  • Plates to be secured on the front of the bike.
  • All stages have “Self-Seeding” start. Riders are expected to start their stage run-in at the first Stage Start sign
