Rosny Park

Enter the Auscycling Tasmanian CX State Championships

The State champs will be held at Rosny Park. The race is over a short course (2.5 to 3km). It’s a sometimes muddy, fun experience for all ages of riders.

Cyclocross (also known as CX) is a mix between road riding and cross-country mountain biking. It started as a winter season alternative to road racing in Northern Europe many decades ago.

RACE DETAILS:

Cyclocross (CX) Racing involve multiple laps of a short, non technical, mixed terrain circuit. Racing will be the “mini – enduro” format with who ever completes the most laps in 45 minutes being declared the winner. CX is less technical than traditional Cross Country Racing and has the addition of sections of track where participants need to dismount and run with their bikes.

Bikes:

All bike types are eligible for a State title this year. Please ride your CX or gravel bike if you have one - but a MTB will be fine. There is no restriction on tyre sizes. Bikes must be in good order, with working brakes and handlebar plugs. Bar ends are not permitted.

TIME:

Racing

11:15am – State titles. Note that if we get a very large field there will be 2 races, a 30 min race for U15s and MS7+, then the remainder of the categories at midday

Racing will be 45 min. RIders will start in waves, by categories.

GETTING THERE

Rosny Park is off Rosny Hill Rd, adjacent to the Eastlands shopping centre. The rego spot is near the old golf club house & near Rosny Farm.

Riders need a current Auscycling Membership .
