• Location: - NEW CRIT COURSE - Larkin Court, Essendon Fields (head to the end of the road).

Notice: Elite Teams Race Entrants

Elite teams entrants must be pre-approved by their club

Please contact your club delegate for inclusion in your club's team prior to entering.

Please note Club Teams are limited to Northern Combine affiliated clubs.

Clubs cover the cost of team entrants so entry is free for club-nominated riders.

Once approved by your club, please enter as an individual via EntryBoss.

Elite Teams will be max 5 riders. Points will be awarded at intermediate sprints.

Clubs will be advised of specifc rules prior to race

Support races are offered for non-teams riders, and will be built after reviewing entries.

Support races are at standard Northern Combine pricing.

• Race durations: These are approx total time durations. Riders will be advised time + 3 laps at the start of their race.

Notes:

• Elite Teams: - teams must be Northern Combine member clubs.
• Support Races: - These will be built by the handicapping team after reviewing entries. Please provide your normal grade information upon entry. Support race entrants can be from any club.
• One Grade at a time: - the nature of this circuit favours one grade at a time, which limits the number of support races that can be offered. As a result, all races are deemed mixed gender.
  
• Race Formats: - Support races will be standard criteriums. The Elite Teams race will be a team points race.
• UPDATE: - based on entries, we have shuffled some extra A graders into the teams race so we could build more balanced support grades. The extra riders will be allowed to ride as Composite teams. Only Combine club teams will be eligible for the Tom Probert Teams Race Trophy. All riders are still able to race their natural race.

Juniors

• Closed road circuit: - This is a great opportunity for juniors to race a closed circuit.
• Enter on-the-day: - Juniors are not required to pre-register and are welcome to enter on the day. (Seniors must pre-reg). Juniors are $5 Cash-on-the-day.

Race Fees

• Race Fees: Volunteers $15, Non-vols $27. Elite Teams entries are covered by clubs.
• Pre-Pay Only: - Race Fees are pre-pay only for 2016.
• Waitlisting: - Races have pre-set limits per grade. Riders may be notified (via Entry Confirmation Email) they have been wailtisted once entries reach these limits. Waitlisted riders are generally still a good chance of a start after scratchings and rider re-grades. Riders not wanting to be considered for promotion from the waitlist should scratch.
• Scratching: - Scratching is a self-serve, automated refund via EntryBoss if withdrawing within scratching cut-off (generally midday Friday - pls see above).

Race Day Procedures

• No License, No Race: - riders need a current license (or proof of renewal) to race. CA licenses only.
• New to Racing: - 3 Race Licenses are available for new riders ($55 cash on-the-day). Please allow time to process prior to race time.
• Red Light Policy: - Closed road circuit - rear lights not required this race.
• On-the-day Entries: Sorry, on-the-day entries are not accepted.
• Spectating: - Spectators are able to walk to a number of vantage points on this circuit. Please take care if crossing the circuit.
• Announcements: - Please check the Northern Combine Facebook page, twitter or website for any announcements regarding racing.

Course Info

• Registration & Start Location: - End of Larkin Court, Essendon Fields (not to be confused with Larkin St)
• Getting there: - Essendon Fields is close to the Melbourne CBD, off the Tullamarine Freeway near Airport West.
• Parking: - plenty of parking available on the grass near the road closure & rego, end of Larkin Court.
• Toilets: - Portable toilets onsite. Alternate toilet locations include Essendon Fields Shopping Centre (near Coles) & Airport Terminal
