It is the responsibility of the rider to review the published start list. Please enter relevant information for the handicapper when you nominate. The earlier you nominate, the earlier you get handicapped. Changing of grades on the day is not permitted. Only the Handicapper or the Chief Commissaire may regrade a rider on the day.
Please do not request grade changes to our volunteers on the Sign-on desk
Are you new to racing? Then why not try Cycling Australia's Starter pack, to try racing before committing to a full license, see link below. Not quite sure which grade you are? Please feel free to have a chat with NCC Handicapper Peter Varricchio on 0411 118 262. If you have questions about racing please contact NCC on facebook messenger. If its your first race recommend arriving at sign on at least 30min prior to your race starting, to sign on, have your paper work with proof of license. Leave time to pin on numbers, zip tie on timing transponder and warm up / have a nervous toilet break!
If you have never raced a criterium before and not confident in your bunch riding skills, we recommended you attend a Norwood CC + Cycling SA criterium training session. See Cycling SA website, or the Cycling SA and Norwood C.C. facebook pages for more details.
Sunday events enable NCC the time frame required to run womens specific graded criterium's. When both mens and womens grades are offered, Women may 'back up' and race in the mens grade. Riders must support and race the women's grades prior to nominating again and competing in Men's Grade. If you wish to put your case to deviate from this policy please contact the race secretary (details below).
We are working with entry boss, to enable the system to accept two nominations. You must first nominate and compete in your womens grade, prior to re-nominating to 'back up' in the mens grade.
NCC are actively working towards having the capacity, volunteer base, structure, and resources to host more Womens and Junior specific racing in the future.
U17 Juniors can ride up as long as all conditions of the CSA Juniors Riding Up Policy are met, and the relevant forms are signed and a copy is provided prior to race start to the Chief Commissaire (typically Di Tattersall at NCC events). Note if a junior grade is offered, for example an NCC Sunday Criterium program, riders must compete in the Junior Grade prior to riding up and re-nominating in the Senior Grade. Qualifying JW17 Junior Women can only ride up in Senior womens grades. Qualifying JM17 Junior Men can only ride up in Senior Mens grades
We are working with entry boss, to enable the system to accept two nominations. You must first nominate and compete in your juniors grade, prior to re-nominating for the 'riding up' senior grade.
