GRAVITY ENDURO STYLE RACING

Join us for a fun filled ride where the downs happen to be timed 😎

Event: FUNDURO - 3 Timed stages

GENERAL INFORMATION

With a focus on fun and race participation we will all ride together as gand self seed for starting segments. Leaving a gap for timing between riders as required. With only the downhill sections timed you don’t have to be super ride fit, just fit enough and practiced on these stages.

It’s recommended that you wear full gloves, knee pads/ elbows covered (long sleeves) and a full face helmet.

Note : ( full face not mandatory if you can’t get one in time, but highly recommended for safety) Ride to your ability !! These trails whilst Blue grade - do have high speed and challenging sections

Race day will finish with a party & presentation and lucky entry prizes if you race! So come and join in the fun, and bring your mates to spectate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

STAGE 1

1 : CENTIPEDE - full track to finish at the WC bridge

STAGE 2

CUSCUS - Start at the shuttle road entry and ride full trail to finish in the old club site

STAGE 3

BLACKSNAKE Start at the top of black snake descent continue all the way until you reach the finish red belly junction timing box.

STAGE 4

GREEN BOWIES Start at the green jump line - and pedal all the way to the pines to finish Head to the trailhead for a finish line party 🤘🏽

Course inspection: A course inspection will be completed by the event organisers 1 week prior to the event, and on the morning of the event. During this inspection the organisers will have to identify any issues or improvements that require attention and then with the Cairns MTB Clubs’ approval have them rectified before the start of the event, if necessary to do so. This may result in course changes.

RACE SCHEDULE

Rider rollout after Briefing - Timing from 3pm-4:30pm

Event Registration will be open from 1-2 weeks before the event and capped at 60 competitors

We DO NOT allow on the day registrations, you'll need an Auscycling Race Licence or complete a 4 week trial (but you can only do this once) or a day licence is $44

EVENT FACILITIES

Event will be hosted from the Cairns Mountain Bike Club site McGregor Road. Toilet facilities are available here or at JCU via ring road. BYO nutrition and post race beverages will be available for purchase.

Scratching:

Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
• We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
