Norwood Cycling Club acknowledges the Peramangk people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the this NCC Gravel Kermesse takes place. We acknowledge not only this ancestral relationship, but also the ongoing deep feelings of attachment and relationship of the people of these nations to Country. We respect and value their past, present and ongoing connection to the land and cultural beliefs. We also pay our respects to their Elders past and present. In addition, we extend that respect to other Aboriginal Language Groups and other First Nations.
NCC are delighted to announce the return of our gravel races for 2026! Taking place within Rocky Creek Forest, this is an all closed road, gravel kermesse using the Forestry SA fire roads within this section of Kuitpo. The terrain and surfaces you will be encountering on this course will require a bike capable of riding off road comfortably.
This event is open to ALL clubs and Auscycling licenses riders. Four week free trial memberships are available for this event. As this is a off-road event, riders are permitted to race on a "race off-road license." Don't have a race license? Enter the recreational ride!

You will still get:
- To ride the same course as those racing;
- As many laps as you feel comfortable riding (within our time constraints)
- No Timing
- A donut at the end, and all the vibes your heart could desire.
When you finish your last lap - Let the race officials know that you are done so the system can capture your finish.
Mechanicals, and Pits/feed zone
In the event of any repairable mechanical, riders should aim to be self sufficient on course - Carry a tube and/or a tubeless plug, a CO2 canister or pump etc. If the mechanical is not immediately repairable but the rider would like to continue in the race, they must follow the course until reaching the pits.
In the event of a race ending mechanical, riders should make their way back to the start area and alert the chief commissaire of their DNF.
Podiums and prizes
Race presentations will be after the conclusion of all the races for the day. There will be food and drinks available at the sign on area, so hang around and cheer on the riders as they take on the course.
Cut off times While we endeavour to make our events as inclusive as possible, we have limits to our park booking as well as logistical realities of packing up after racing that mean we will enforce a cutoff time for the longest of our distance categories. The commsiares will make this decision based on rider speeds on course on the day.
Donuts Yes! Every finisher gets a donut!
