Race Information

We're bringing back our "no frills" 2hr XC racing and adding our Gravel-X race again for a bit of fun and variety. Race winner is most laps completed in 2hrs.

The XC course will be a fun and flowy course using some of our best MTB trails, whilst the Gravel-X will be mainly Fire roads, with a few short MTB trails sections thrown in.

Drinks will be available to purchase (cash only) at the completion of the race. Sorry, but NO Coffee van, grab one on the way.

• Grades on Offer:
  We are keeping it as simple as possible with regards to categories, and we went outside the usual box for Gravel-X using the prefilled Entryboss categories.

XC MTB : Junior M, Junior F, Open M, Open F, 50+ M, 50+ F, eBike M, eBike F

Gravel-X: GravelCross M, GravelCross F (faster racers), CX-curious M, and CX-Curious F (Novice/fun category)

• Licences:
  I confirm I hold a current AusCycling All Discipline Race Licence, off road licence 4 week trial licenceor an event licence

• Wet Weather Policy:
  As regular Bom Bom visitors would be aware, our trails are unridable when wet, so we have the following policy. If it has rained more than 20mm in the week leading up to the event its likely we will postpone the event, Although if the forecast is for good weather for the few days prior we will make a call on the friday. If the event is postponed, it will likely be to the following weekend, if this does not suit you we can refund you. Most importantly, check our Facebook page for updates.

• Scratching/Refunds:
  Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching closes at advertised close date/time. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch (you will need to be logged into EntryBoss). Refunds can take a few days, if you have any queries contact: treasurer.graftoncc@gmail.com

  By entering any Grafton Cycling Club race, you agree to the following:

• I understand, acknowledge and accept that cycling is an inherently dangerous sport, which may result in serious injury or death from a collision, fall, mechanical failure, physical exertion or other incident.

• I voluntarily participate in this event at my own risk.

• I waive any rights I may otherwise have against AusCycling, the event promoter and their agents and representatives relating to, and agree they are not responsible for, any loss or damage resulting from my participation in the event, including any loss that may arise from death or injury to myself or others, or damage to any property.

• I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and the AusCycling Technical Regulations, a copy of which is available on the AusCycling website.

• If the participant in this event is under 18 years of age, I warrant that I am a parent or guardian of the participant and agree for myself and the participant that I provide the acknowledgements, agreements and waiver set out above in respect of the participant.

• Photography:
  Photography and Filming - By entering this race, I grant permission to Grafton Cycle Club to use photographs or video footage of me taken during club events for promotional purposes, including publications on social media platforms, the club website and other marketing materials. I understand these images may be used to highlight and promote club materials. If I do not want my image to be used in the manner, I will notify club officials prior to the commencement of the event.
  Photography and Filming of Children - Please speak to the volunteer at sign on to obtain a Permission Declaration Form expressing your willingness or not for your child to be photographed or filmed.
