  • AusCycling State 'Silver' event - Hosted by Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club Inc.

  • Riders from all clubs invited to come and race.

  • Food - The Lakeside canteen will be operating all day from 7.00am with coffee and food available.

ANZAC 25 feature race for men - 25 laps with 4 Primes (62.5km)

ANZAC 20 feature race for women - 20 laps with 2 Primes (50km)



Start times -

Racing for Juniors (from 8 am). Men's, Women's, Masters, and Elite Races (from 8.30 am). The Last Post and ANZAC Ceremony will be played at Midday before the ANZAC feature races. 16 events;-

  • U9 - 8:00 am: 4 laps (shortened circuit)
  • U11 - 8:02am: 4 laps (shortened circuit)
  • U13 - 8:04 am: 4 laps (shortened circuit)
  • U15 - 8.30am: 20 mins + 1 lap
  • U17 - 8:32 am: 30 mins + 1 lap
  • Masters Men D Grade - 8.35am: 40 mins + 1 lap
  • Women D Grade - 9.00am: 40 mins + 1 lap
  • Masters Men C Grade - 9:15 am: 45 mins + 1 lap
  • Women C Grade - 9:23 am: 45 mins + 1 lap
  • Masters Men B Grade - 9:48 am: 50 mins + 1 lap
  • Women B Grade - 10:08 am: 50 mins + 1 lap
  • Masters Men A Grade - 10:15 am: 60 mins + 1 lap
  • Elite B Men - 10:45 am: 50 mins + 1 lap
  • Elite C Men - 11:05 am 45 mins + 1 lap

Prize Money (Lots!) -

Generous Prize money for All Podium Places and Primes - over $5,000 in total.

  • ANZAC 25 - 1st $800, 2nd $500, 3rd $300 + four Primes $50 each (minimum + prize pool + trophies).
  • ANZAC 20 - 1st $400, 2nd $250, 3rd $150 + two Primes $50 each (minimum + prize pool + trophies).
  • Prize pool - Generous cash prizes for Podium Places and Primes based on number of entries for all senior and U17 races.
  • Juniors - U9, U11, U13 and U15 - Non-cash prizes.

Rider Gradings -

This is a Qld State Silver event with racing using AusCycling's State Gradings. If you already have a Qld AusCycling Grading, enter under that Grade. If you believe that Grade to be inappropriate for you at this time, please include reasons in the notes section of your EntryBoss entry form. If you do not have a State Grading, enter in the Grade you believe to be most appropriate for you. AusCycling and HWCC officials will review entries and make a final determination on which Grade you will compete in based on any info you supply, known results/form and other club Gradings. Make sure you check which Grade you've been placed in before race day, by viewing the 'Startlist' for this event on EntryBoss.

Women's Races -

  • ANZAC 20 - A Grade Women as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) + optional for B Grade Women
  • Womens B Grade - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent)
  • Womens C Grade - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent)
  • Womens D Grade - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent)

Men's Races -

  • ANZAC 25 - Elite A Grade Men as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) + optional for A Grade Masters Men and Elite B Grade Men
  • B Grade Elite Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent)
  • C Grade Elite Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent)
  • A Grade Masters Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) - must be Mas1 or higher
  • B Grade Masters Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) - must be Mas1 or higher
  • C Grade Masters Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) - must be Mas3 or higher
  • D Grade Masters Men - as graded by AusCycling (or equivalent) - must be Mas4 or higher

Junior Races -

  • All juniors U9 to U17 must race in their AusCycling age groups

Race Licences -

It is the rider's responsibility to ensure they have an AusCycling 'Race All-Discipline' licence valid for race day, BEFORE entering the event. Riders must not race without a valid licence. For riders with an annual licence, EntryBoss may automatically check validity. For riders with AusCycling 12 Month Payment Plans, EntryBoss cannot reliably validate these month to month licences. Sport Integrity Reminder -

A reminder this is a National/State level AusCycling event. Sport Integrity Australia can conduct anti-doping testing at any event or competition. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of your obligations and have completed clean sport education.

All riders over 13 are strongly encouraged to complete Anti-Doping Fundamentals and the Annual Update online courses through the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning page: Sport Integrity Australia eLearning: Log in to the site. It is recommended you also download the Sport Integrity app which can assist you to check medications, supplements and complete your education.

  • Entry Fees (All entry fees include the $10 Lakeside user fee which is paid direct to Lakeside management - not AusCycling or HWCC) -

  • Regular Entry - $50.00

  • Juniors (U17 & under) - $15.00

  • Scratching/Refunds - Please scratch before advertised scratching cut-off for automated refund through EntryBoss.


Lakeside Circuit -

Lakeside Park is the motor racing circuit behind the Pine Rivers Golf Club. The signed access road is off Narangba Rd, Dakabin.

The 2.5km circuit has 2 moderate climbs and is wide and smooth. U9, U11 and U13 riders compete on a shorter 1.7km course in the reverse direction to normal.

  • Weather? - Always return to this page pre-race, to read any updates in the event of dodgy weather/cancellations. Advice will be posted as early as possible. Please note: Hamilton Wheelers races are conducted in the rain and are only cancelled on the advice of the Race Commissaire due to unsafe conditions such as water pooling on the track or very heavy rain. In the case of race cancellations, riders' entry fees will be refunded via EntryBoss.

  • Race Kits - this is a State Silver event. Riders must wear their club kit, a plain kit or an AusCycling registered team kit.
