Ebikes
Ebikes must be set to factory specifications which is pedal assist only, max 250W and max output speed of 25km/h. EBikes may be inspected at random and failure to comply with factory specifications is deemed cheating with disqualification..
Format:
Competitors will be required to pedal, and or push, up the hill and complete one timed descent of the three tracks being raced, Track 1, 2 and 3. Competitors will have 40 minutes per stage to complete the climb and descent. At the completion of each stage the timing mat will be moved (if required) to the new stage start and finish and competitors will be able to race the next stage.
Please allow sufficient time between competitors at the start mat (30 seconds recommended).
The lowest combined descending time for the three stages combined will be the winner.
Club Members $5 Senior/Junior Event.
Non Club Member: $10 Junior, $15 all other riders.
Late Entries incur an additional $20 late fee.
Entry fees are kept minimal, ensuring that the total event cost, with the addition of AusCycling membership and/or Day License, aligns with typical entry fees for similar events.
Race
Riders must have completed one full practice run before racing commences. Only designated officials and riders wearing appropriate gear and helmet, will be allowed onto the course during official practice sessions. Parents wishing to ‘shadow’ younger riders are welcome to request permission on race day.
Protective Equipment for ALL Riders
Australian Standard approved or equivalent Full Face Helmets are mandatory.
Covered elbows (jersey or elbow pads).
Knee Pads if wearing shorts.
Additional requirements for U11/U13/U15/U17
Full Finger Gloves.
Knee Pads & Elbow Pads must be worn.
If you are having trouble finding protective equipment please get in touch ahead of the event, we may be able to assist in loaning some gear president@albanymtb.com.au
Body armour is highly recommended.
Bike must be functional with working brakes.
Handle bars must have Bar ends or Plugs.

Parking
Parking is available in the lower section for all vehicles, signage is in place.
All riders must have insurance: To be eligible to race in the club championship series competitors need to have race insurance through AusCycling. Only race membership is suitable, lifestyle or non-riding members are not insured for racing.
Winners for the Club Championship Series will be based on points accumulated from each event. Prizes for each division will be presented at the Presentations following the final event. Riders from any club can enter the race series but only Albany MTB club members are eligible to win trophies for the series. Members from other club are welcome to ‘add on’ a membership to Albany MTB club to their existing club membership.
