Scratching Policy

Self-service scratching includes an automated refund. Scratching closes at the same time as entries. Use the SCRATCH button on the race entry page to scratch.

Details

• 1.3 km closed circuit on Australia's newest dedicated bicycle racing facility!
• Juniors up to U15 are not permitted.
• U17 juniors are permitted to race after contacting Ipswich Cycling Club Handicapper, Michelle Snodgrass.
• Cat 1 is limited to 30 riders. All other categories are limited to 40 riders.
• Cat 3 and 4 competitors MUST attend the race briefing at 6.35 pm in the marshalling area.
• Cat 1 and 2 competitors MUST attend the race briefing at 7.25 pm in the marshalling area.
• There will be multiple grades on the circuit at the one time. The faster bunch is expected to pass a slower bunch on the left-hand side. The bunch being passed must adopt a neutral race condition until the pass is completed.
• The wearing of tinted eyewear during night racing is not permitted. Riders with prescription lenses seeking an exemption must report to the Chief Commissaire prior to the race briefing.
• Note: Racing may be cancelled if conditions are hazardous due to wet tarmac, lighting failure, recalcitrant wildlife or other unforeseen circumstances. Entrants can expect a refund of race fees in the event of race cancellation.

Grading

In accordance with CQ policy, riders will be allocated a race category based on their normal grading. The Ipswich Cycling Club Handicapper will review race entries to determine the correct category.

Category 1	Men's Elite A
Category 2	Men's Elite B, Men's Masters A
Category 3	Men's Elite C, Men's Masters B, Women's A & B
Category 4	Men's Masters C & D, Women's C & D

It is the responsibility of each rider to enter a suitable grade.

Licences

• You must leave a current CA Race licence at the registration desk while you are in possession of a race number. Alternatively you may present paperwork from CA confirming your licence is pending issue; e.g. a receipt.
