Outline

Now that the local MTB race season has opened with the Trek Rocky MTB Club XCEN 3 Hour last weekend, it's time to continue with the Trek Rockhampton Mountain Bike Club Incorporated Cross-Country Olympic Series, commencing with Round One at First Turkey Mountain Bike Reserve.

This year we will revisit the past with points awarded to category place winners in each of the four rounds. In addition, the rounds will held in three different locations: First Turkey MTB Reserve, hosted by Rocky MTB Club; Tolmies Trails, hosted by Central Highlands MTB Club; and Gladstone MTB Reserve, hosted by Gladstone MTB Club.

Season champions will be crowned at our End of Year Function, so you can't afford to miss a race!

No late entries - No exceptions - No correspondence will be entered into (which means don't expect an answer if you ask)

Ages

• Age is defined as at 31 December 2025.
• AusCycling Junior Policy MTB Maximum Race Duration Age Restrictions apply and cannot be waived by Rocky MTB Club, so please don't ask us to "bend" the rules!

Entry Fees

• Senior $30 per rider
• Junior $15 per rider

Race Schedule

• Entries close at Midnight Thursday 13 March 2025.
• Plate allocation commences at 2:00pm.
• Rider Briefing at 2:45pm.
• Start time is at 3:00pm for all categories.
• Race Duration depends on the Entry Category (see ‘Categories & Duration’ above).
• Practice is from 2:00pm to 2:30pm only for registered riders issued with a race plate.
• Race Results will be published at: https://www.raceresult.com/en-au/home/index.php.

Rules

• This event is conducted in accordance with AusCycling Policies and Rules.
• An AusCycling Race Membership or Event Licence is mandatory.
• Riders must comply with any additional rules advised during the Rider Briefing.
• Attendance at the Rider Briefing is compulsory to race.
• Fastest time for completing the race wins each category.

Event Cancellation

If the event has to be cancelled due to extreme weather, a notification will be posted on the Rocky MTB Club Facebook page.

Parking

• All vehicles must be parked either in the German Street carpark, or on the eastern verge at the southern end of German Street, or on the adjacent Lyle Albert Dobbs Reserve if it's dry.
• Do not park on Sunset Avenue.

Venue Rules

• Care for the natural environment.
• Remove all rubbish, including Race Plate cable ties.
• Respect local residents.

Prizes

• Category place winners will receive a Race Certificate.
• Podium prizes will be awarded by our sponsor, Trek Rockhampton.
• You will also have the glory of mounting the podium and being immortalised via social media.

Scratching

• Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss Scratch mechanism.
• Please note the scratch cut-off time of 9am Saturday 15 March 2025.
• DNS (Did Not Start) refunds after this time are at the discretion of Rocky MTB Club.
