SATURDAY RACING - CANCELLATION

Hi,

Firstly, thanks for entering Broadford crits this Saturday.

Unfortunately we haven't got enough riders to be able to run crits this Saturday (30 entered whereas we need 60+ to cover the cost & effort involved. Spread over the various grades, 30 is just too small).

However, the course will be open to ride. This will be free and if enough people are there, we can run some fun races eg handicap etc. We are there all day from 10:00 building the CX course for Sunday's race, which thankfully has over 250 riders entered.

Going forward, our intention is to return with crits at Broadford later in the year.

We are very strong believers in Broadford as a premiere venue. The circuit & facilities are world class and perfectly suited to cycling. I see a time in the future when 200 riders come and race crits there. Unfortunately, just not this weekend.

We will also look at our promotional efforts and announce events with more leadtime in future.

• Juniors: - groups dependant on entries, ages & abilities (two races)
• Seniors: - A-D, Women's A-C
• Para Cyclists: - come one, come all
• Free Practice: - enjoy a race track all to yourself
• Juniors racing senior grades: - juniors with suitable experience can enter and race senior grades. (Junior gearing applies).

RACE FEES:

• Seniors: $20 + $5 Track Levy
• Race & Vol: - $10 + $5 Track Levy (volunteering at this race)
• Junior (U9-U17): - $10 + $5 Track Levy
• CAMPING - see below for information on trackside camping option.
  Track Levy - Broadford is a premiere venue. The track levy directly contributes to the cost of hiring the venue.

• Everyone who races needs to be licensed for insurance purposes.

Head north from Melbourne up the Hume Hwy.
Take the Broadford exit, and turn right to cross the Hume.
The entrance to Broadford State Motorcycle Complex is approx 1.5km from the freeway exit on the right.
