Race Info

Rules specific to the InterClub Race are as follows:

• Date: Sunday 25th August, 2024
• Event: InterClub Challenge Race - A: Road Race (RR) & B: Criterium (C)
• Location: Outer Harbour (Big Course - RR) & Pelican Point Rd re Criterium Course.
• Racing starts at: RR - 9.00 am; C - 11.00am
• Registration opens at: 8.00 am at the Registration Desk at the LeFevre Stadium.
• Race format: Graded Road & Criterium Racing
• Transponders: We use the MyLaps transponder system at present.
  
• Entry Cost: $15.00 (total cost for both events)

Nominations

Riders should nominate on EntryBoss by no later than 7.00 pm on the Thursday preceding the race day. Online nominations are preferred as it assists organisers in determining rider numbers on the night & also valid up-to-date medical and emergency contact information.

Transponder Hire

All riders must have a currently licensed MyLaps transponder fitted to their bike's front fork. No transponder fee applies to this event.

EntryBoss Grading/Handicapping

Please leave a useful comment to help the handicappers confirm you are in the correct grade.

For handicap races, please select your normal scratch grade to help the handicappers with an initial grouping of riders. Handicappers then determine your mark after review of the other entrants. Your mark will be confirmed via the Startlist published after scratchings close.

Scratching

Need to withdrawal from the event? EntrvBoss enables a self-serve refund if things change and you can't make the event. Please use the 'Scratch' button to trigger a refund and automatically remove yourself from the starlist.
(Please note the scratching cut-off time as the button is not available after this).

As a matter of consideration - if you do scratch, please find time to send a message to handicapper or post per Messenger as this can assist with the handicap groupings on the day. Thank you!

Course Information & Distances

A: OUTER HARBOUR RR Circuit Map

This will be a graded Scratch Race (A - E Grades) with the following distances/(start time) to occur, namely:

A (0900) B (0902) Grades - 50 km ( 5 laps)

C (0904) D (0906) Grades - 40 km ( 4 laps)

E (0908) Grade - 30 km (3 laps)

B: PELICAN POINT Criterium Circuit

This race will commence approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the Graded Scratch Race and will move to this alternate nearby circuit.
It will take place on the Pelican Point Road (known as the Osborne Loop ) and will be a 1.1 km hotdog criterium circuit

The following timings will apply:

A Grade - 40 mins + 2 laps

B Grade - 35 mins + 2 laps

C Grade - 30 mins + 2 laps

D/E Grade - 25 mins + 2 laps

Points System & Prize Money

The following point system will apply to the first 4 riders to cross the finish line at the end of each race as listed in the table below.

Each rider who starts & completes both events will be awarded 2 points for each race. Prize money (as stated) will be awarded on the day also for both events.
