About Ipswich and West Moreton BMX

• Ipswich BMX Club, was formed in 1980 by a group of enthusiastic parents, who may have may have been a little short in experience but were certainly not in commitment, to bring the sport of BMX racing to the Ipswich region

• The aim of the Club was, and still is, to develop a track that both encourages its juniors as well as providing a challenge to its more senior riders.

• The committee and community of the Ipswich and West Moreton BMX Club, wish to acknowledge the ongoing support of the City of Ipswich.

*Entry into the Maddog Morton Time Trail requires a valid confirmed entry into a valid Age or Cruiser Class in the Open Event on the day.

¹Pro Straight will be compulsory for all Male Superclass riders

²Male Superclass riders will need to hold an Auscycling advance straight accreditation or be able to pass an assessment on the day

*The above pricing is inclusive of GST and an additional transaction fee will apply

*Junior and Senior Superclass categories will receive their prize money via EFT (as soon as is reasonably practical following the event). Riders are to provide their bank details via email to ipswichbmxclub@gmail.com

*Junior and Senior Superclass categories will receive their prize money for placings 1st to 8th as per 2024 Auscycling Regulation 5.02.02

³Mini Wheelers and Sprockets must be nominated by 6pm, Saturday the 3rd of August to receive an award on the day. Later nominations may result in an award being available from the club after the event.

Timing

All riders (except Mini Wheelers and Sprockets) will require a Mylaps Transponder to participate in this event. Your transponder number and Race Plate should be included in your entry during nomination. There will be no transponders available for hire on the day.

If you need to purchase a Mylaps Flex Transponder, check with your local club if they carry transponders for sale.

Facilities

• Our track caters to all abilities. Easy to ride for beginners and challenging for more experienced riders.
  
• We have the latest technology Led Light towers which enable us to race at night.
• We have plenty of parking within our precinct for cars and trailers, entry via Willey Street.
• We have a large grassed terrace, bring a picnic rug and enjoy an afternoon of winter racing.
• The City of Ipswich has recently upgraded our Track, Canteen and Club Room facilities.
• We look forward being able to showcase our upgraded facility to the wider community.

• Pets (excluding certified Support Dogs and Assistance Animals)

All attendees at the Open Day are required to adhere to the National Integrity Framework. Failure to do so, or to follow any reasonable direction provided by Ipswich and West Moreton BMX Club, appointed officials or contractor at the event , may result in removal from the venue or exclusion from competition.
