Winter Crits Coaching Session

Are you interested in getting started with criterium racing? This session is for you!

Riders from any club are welcome to register.

Promo Image

This session is designed to help riders make the transition from bunch riding or road racing to closed-circuit criterium racing.

The first session is run on a volunteer basis by Canberra Cycling Club accredited coach, Dr Michael Hanslip.

Combined Event

CCC and VCC are teaming up to conduct a coaching session before the first winter crit. This session is the result of a collaborative effort between the two clubs and is supported by Alivio.

Is it for me?

This session is suitable for first (or second) time criterium racers and ideally people who have raced 'road races' a few times before but not tried criterium circuit racing yet. We expect that participants will have some bunch riding experience.

Additionally, this session is suitable for existing novice criterium racers who want to revisit their criterium skills ahead of the Winter Criterium Series.

New riders

If you haven’t ridden in a bunch before or raced on the open road then we suggest you sign up for a full novice course such as the Vikings Novice Program.
