About

The ACT Track Championships are back for 2019, with a bigger and better race program! Spread over 2 weeks, there is ample opportunity to compete in your preferred events, while being able to try your chances in less familiar events.

Programme

Omnium events

The Omnium Championships will consist of the following events:

Time Trial;
Flying 200 metres;
Keirin;
Scratch race;
Points race; and Elimination race

Paracycling events will include:

Time Trial; Pursuit; and Flying 200 metres

Para Athlete: Please contact Cycling ACT at act.info@cycling.org.au to manually enter into the Para Cycling Championships

Junior Riders

Junior riders competing in events that do not qualify for championship events for their age group will receive ribbons in lieu of medals.

Why is ACT Championships registration more expensive than a club race?

As well as the regular costs like venue hire first aid, and traffic control, there are extra costs involved in holding state championships, such as paying an honorarium to the commissaires who officiate the race, and purchasing medals for 34 age categories.

Clothing

Cycling ACT Technical Regulations and Bylaws require riders racing in colours other than the colours of their Club to be approved by the federation.

For details of clothing permitted to be worn when competing in open events, please refer to the approved clothing page:
